I guess defense doesn't matter to you.

We would have been miles better keeping CP3.

Russ Westbrook is an ALL STATS only all star, but is not a winner.

We had the 3rd best defensive rating in the playoffs that year (106.8)

A good coach and a good PG acquisition could make him a well-above average wing. A better passing Pippin is the ceiling, solid not-quite all-star level is his floor if--if--he buys into a new coaching philosophy, sees the potential in the change, and works to make it happen.

His current contract will be used to close the deal on a huge multi team deal that lands us our next cornerstone player. We will thank him for his service but never look back. I don’t think it is wise to knowingly do long term business with unstable people either.

I think it’s safe to say Sengun will be on the roster. Skilled bigs like him on a controlled contract are valued. If he is not here than his trade return is taking us to a championship.

He has to become more efficient… there is just no way around it. He doesn’t have to even improve at everything, but he has to shoot the ball and protect the ball better or he won’t be in the league long.

Yes his defense has improved and he should be commended for that but we are approaching the point where it won’t matter if his TS% is so bad.

But that rating was better when Westbrook was out for most of OKC series.

    LOL

CF thinks Rockets can jettison players and get automatically receive better players back.

Be realistic, grass is not always greener.

Not until AFTER House shet the bed and left Rockets shorthanded.

Rockets were extremely competitive with Lakers before then.

I think its important to take into account the amount of games played.

Games played: Anthony Edwards : 99 games

Trae Young first two years in the league: 141 games

Ja Morant first two years in the league: 130 games

Kevin Porter Jr: 96 games played

I think its important to have perspective here.

If we are going by games played, this isnt really his second year in the league. This is like one year and some change of experience. I think its important to have patience here. He's showed talent at his young age, so when we have to give him time.

KPJ has a lot to prove this season. How he handles the influx of rookies will be one of them. He will be considered a Vet on this squad and won't have Wood as the scapegoat. I'm rooting for him. I hope he can find a niche and stay with this team. I hope he doesn't pull a Mad Max and pout his way out like Max did after we got Clyde.

He should this next contract as a prove it deal that could propel him into something greater. If he has learned from Lucas he will see that.

Too soon to tell... I'd want to see improvements to his overall game by the trade deadline. No extension yet. If he shows improvement, discuss a team friendly extension. If no improvements, trade him away.

Glad I didn’t make a knee jerk decision when this thread was first created. I would’ve said on another team. It very well could happen but I see him still on this team and staring PG.

I have faith in KPJ. I like him a lot. He needs to be more realistic with his attitude. I’m hoping for $15M a year for 3 years (3/$45M). That means he’ll probably get $18per  That’d be big pay increase for him.

I just voted, and I stared at this for a solid 2 minutes before choosing "starting Wing". I think that makes sense. Although bench also makes sense. PG could make sense if he continues to evolve. Another team could make total sense too if he acts too risky behind closed doors.

I guess the poll results show this ambiguity.

If he plays anything like his last 10 games last year, he is going to command a bunch and be worth it. He and Jalen were great. Go back and look at that production and tell me he’s worth less than 15m. Don’t give me the empty stat bs. We still had Tate and Matthews starting most games.
