Wood looking for that Siakam money
We’re gonna try paying him Vucevic dollars
I think if he keeps playing well we have to give him close to 30 mil. Problem is his trade value is prob not that high right now to get fair value.

Kind of a lose lose unless we convince him to take a reasonable contract.

lol at bringing up Shaq and Kobe to make some sort of timeline argument

it’s such an irrelevant and nonsensical point

there is no such thing as not fitting the timeline when u have an all-time great like Shaq…Shaq is who u build around

meanwhile, we don’t have Shaq, we have Christian fcking Wood

also, the Lakers were a playoff team looking to jump into contention…the Rockets just lost 15 in a row and will be bad for the forseeable future…

I don't know why people simply believe it as a fact that the Rockets will be bad for a long time. They may, and they may not. It all depends on how the young players turn out and how fast.

They may turn the corner midway through this season, or they may need two more years, or they may be busts. We just don't know.

The funny thing is, while people are dissing Jalen Green's potential, they also want to tank to get another high pick. What makes you think the high pick next year will turn out to be better than Green? The timeline is just very unpredictable. I'd rather see these kids to be good as soon as possible than throw the dice on another unknown next year. But if they are slow to improve and we are a bottom feeder team, so be it. I am also down for being excited about another lottery pick.

I thought Green was the next Kobe?

Even Kobe needed skilled players around him to win.

    So did MJ.

Heck, even Lavine is putting up All Star numbers AND winning when the cast around him improved.

Rockets need a mix of young players AND productive vets to take next step.

A team full of young players (rooks and 2nd year players) have not won anything.

CF has gone overboard about not wanting any vets over the age of 26.

    This timeline argument is trash.

And I'm not talking about Shaq or even Pippen.

I'm talking about Horry, Pau, Ariza, Fisher, Artest, Harper, Paxson, Kerr, even Rodman.

His English is fine. It's your math that's messed up. How do you throw Shaq into the equation and act like it's just a small variable.

People can be convinced that keeping Wood fits our timeline, but throwing an example with Shaq in there probably isn't how it's done

    Would not go that far.

Not better than Bam, Randle and even Porzingas.

    Yet.

Sorry to say guys. Wood is Eric Gordon on a decent team, very average.

I think he's better than all of them, except Siakam. I think Wood and Siakam are compatible.

Randle was a journeyman until last season.

We're not really going to pretend that Randle has been some perennial All Star are we?

Bam is strictly low post offensively and a very good defender, Julius is solely an offensive player.
I could see why people think Wood is better. He gives you offense, defense, 3-pt shooting, block shots....so yes I can see it

u must not follow randle's career path to wrongly defined him as a journeyman.

Man was not traded around as a used tissue, he left the lakers as his stat went up, signed a 2 year w/ the pelicans, but was not traded/reject his 2nd year option and signed up to knicks where he popped off.

Man broke his leg, first year and impressively was able to salvage his career excelling w/ the knicks.

Personally I think he's better than wood.

Wood is the one who’s actually been the journeyman

I never followed the man's career, but now that I look at his career history, man was bounced around all over the place

Don't know how you formulated Math out of an English assessment but let me take you to school.

My analogy of Shaq and Kobe was an EXAMPLE of how a player that is older can still fit into a TIMELINE of a younger player and they can develop together and win a Championship. I did not compare Shaq to Wood or Kobe to Green or KPJ.....it was solely an example of a TIMELINE

How any of that equated to a Math problem is beyond comprehension.

If you're taking me to school go ahead and drop me off here because I'm not paying for that tuition

I’ve just never been a fan of Bam. He’s good but he’s not THAT good. He’s not even the third option in Miami. His numbers are kinda underwhelming.

Randle is an undersized PF on an overachieving Knicks team.

I like Porzingis but he’s always injured. He hasn’t been healthy in five years. Knicks fans don’t miss him and Mavs regret signing him to that max contract. He’s not the same player he was in his first two years in New York.
