This. When my family starts with their nonsense and then look at me to get a reaction I just politely change the subject. If they press it I just say “this conversation will not be productive and I’m not going to discuss it further” and I leave the room. Works pretty well. Uneducated people who follow the media propaganda spewed on FOX, OAN, etc are too far gone too help. They’re Neanderthals that will eventually be extinct.
Defund Police Deprogram Relatives Remessage Libs? P.S. I don't know why NYT writer Molly Fast is a thing or why I should pay attention to her nuggets of wisdom.
Wasn’t too bad. My BIL and father felt the need to talk about politics every 5 seconds but I was able to avoid the conversations. So strange that they feel obligated to cry about politics so much though.
She has an agenda. One that is based on her political activism and not the reality of how people buy into what they believe. The reality is the best way to make someone question what they think is to look at them like they are crazy and change the subject. I was having a cortisone shot and the doctor was railing against Biden and Obamacare and how secret deals from that were driving up healthcare costs. I didn't say anything until he asked me what I thought. And I just said that from what I know a big factor is the explosion in the number of administrators and hospital executive pay. He was quiet and then HE changed the subject. I sure wasn't going to argue with someone who was about to stick a long needle into my shoulder.
Spent the whole day NOT talking any politics, I think we have learned that no matter what we say were not going to change anyone`s mind and its pointless to even bring it up...........granted my crazy brother was not invited and he`s the craziest trump cult member so that played a part in it
I didnt de-program anyone but no one wants to play me in H.O.R.S.E anymore. I hope all you gents had a nice one. And you too @Deb.
I was with my family for my father's 85th birthday yesterday. I had to bite my tongue on topics of racism. My mother probably agrees with me on a lot of things that I say about blacks needing to focus more the issues of internal problems hurting poor blacks. But she isn't going to go against the grain because she lets my father lead the family. I am no where near the man my father is including actual things he has done to improve the black community through organizations he belongs to. He is a Mason and his Lodge actually formed their own legitimate credit union under his guidance. He was a mail man but he has a business degree and is very good with money. That being said he is always talking about racism and that actually affected my Outlook on life and my approach to my career. But ultimately my personal problems aren't any of his fault but ican't stand how talks about racism. It's something every day. The irony is we lived in in a neighborhood with a lot of poor blacks and ghetto dysfunction. Yet one of his issues is businesses not wanting to be there. There was a K Mart when we moved there in 1980. Shoplifting was a big issue. Also those types stores can't make money in a lot of black areas. My father deep down knows this but he will always say it's racism Yesterday it was police brutality because of the Aubrey trial and how many blacks have been killed. I'm sitting there thinking police brutality is is rare. I know my family isn't unique among blacks but we personally know so many black men who have been killed by black men but it is never a topic
arent you going to cite a tweet or article for this statement, only to have some lefty actually read the article and point out how it literally undermines the statement you made, but you never bothered to actually, you know, read.
Fixed that for you. And yeah we have to think about it because you guys keep bombarding us with your hate and propensity for believing anyone or anything that reinforces that hate.
