Octavio still has him beat. 13 teams with best years in Houston.
    Miley with 7 teams.

Bill Virdon is one of the more underrated people in MLB history. He was a fine human being and largely responsible for why I fell in love with baseball. RIP.

Wow. Thought Moran would actually turn into a regular for them. He had some good seasons, but I think he was hurt for much of 2021 and that's probably why they let him go. Also since he's entering ARB I guess they didn't want to pay him. But I thought he'd have trade value.

Stoic or not I wish Bagpipes was playing with this group… sandwiching him between Altuve and Alvarez would be nasty.

Especially if the current philosophy helped him lay off the sliders down and away. Can you imagine Bagwell and Biggio with better plate discipline?? Stuff of dreams.

Or just give them a broomstick and see if they can prove Milo incorrect.

Oh yea absolutely. I just laughed watching that vid of the cycle. Bags hardly cracked a smile when he got the triple. Loved those guys but they were all old school business between the lines.

I didn't realize how bad he is defensively. He's a 1B/DH with a league average bat.

He was fired because the league office works for the owners, and responsibility was going to pass to the top person outside of ownership and that was Luhnow. Being as cut throat and boastful as he was didn't help..... but like I said days after the firing, the league office decided that the GM would take the fall and ownership would be protected.... and Crane did just that, to protect his ownership group and he thought protect his organizations reputation.

Luhnow is essentially blackballed and some of his comments post punishment and the lawsuit are not helping him ever get another shot. We have seen some version of this before with Sam Heinke as well....... Luhnow would be better served switching sports or finding another passion and going that route.

Personally I would hire him in a second and not care about the negative press, because he is the best baseball executive in the world..... but the reality is MLB is a club, and Luhnow isn't part of that club.
