    Rangers smart...

Going that high and snagging Seager at that price effectively means they are forcing Crane to make a tough decision 10x tougher.

    +Seager for Rangers
    - Correa for Astros

Furthermore, adding Semien, Gray, Calhoun with a plethora of prospects coming soon.

Closed the gap with that move IF Correa doesn't come back

Give me one Freddie Freeman and move Bregman to short. Team will improve.

That would be nuts. I really like Freddie as a player and more as a human being. Good guy.

I just can’t see him going to a small market.

Ha Seager actually broke $300,000,000 ..... I was wrong on that one.... I figured closer to $260,000,000.....

The Dodgers look really smart getting Turner last year.

The Rangers will have a $500,000,000 team up the middle.

Some really like Seager, and he can hit just about anything.... but I personally don't think he is THIS good, his defense is really slipping....

Need to see where Baez goes. I can't see the Yankees paying Correa that type of money.

Makes the title of this thread even more laughable.

Yankees and Dodgers battle it out for Correa. Two fan bases that absolutely hate him. Just imagine Correa getting hurt or having a bad year for one of those teams. Fans will crush him… crush him on a Philadelphia level.

Maybe...they lost Scherzer and Seager today. Then they have the whole Bauer nightmare. The Dodgers might just pull out their giant money hog and throw it right on the table to put the rest of mlb back in their place.

The rangers are stupid. Yeah we wont get Carlos back now but the Rangers just made a huge mistake.

There's nothing Crane could do if they did that. Which sucks but it would make no sense for us to match when we could get one of the other big SS and still be good.

7/280 vs 10/350? The latter would actually help the Astros out more in the years they have actual championship goals.

It's not a huge mistake though. They signed one of the best SS in the game, who's barely entered his prime. Rangers have hit a home run this offseason. Take the blinders off.

i can see him going to whoever offers him the most, 1000%

he’ll look at it like Machado with the Padres, even if the team isn’t competitive now he’ll be in it for the long haul. He wants what he’s worth, who can blame him

But for what though? 88 losses instead of 100? Plus I can easily see ownership changing hands soon; someone's going to get stuck with the bill

Yeah they went from a 60 win team to a 75 win team, hooray for them.
