Then you failed to learn jack.

    It is simple asset allocation.

You must leverage the assets in your portfolio correctly for maximum Return on Investment.

Wood has only played the 5 the last few games that Theis has been coach's DNP.

And in that role you and all of CF can see that his production is equal to or greater than his MIP/All Star contending season last year.

You and Silas need to go back to business school.

Ive already explained the risk of keeping him. His production does not even match his potential cost to the team whether its on the court and taking minutes from rookies or his salary going up in 2023. Asset Allocation has been explained you're just ignoring it because its not the answer you want. Wood should be traded before trade deadline or this offseason. The only thing that should stop that is if he all of a sudden becomes an all star and even then you have figure out if he's the type of star that can lead a team because he's going to demand max next year for a team trying to rebuild and who should not have any max players at this point.

    He'll get somewhere between $25M - $30M per yr, he's not getting the max. 5yr/ $150M w/incentives.

Kuminga+ would be my primary target.

But I’m all in for moving Wood unless he’s indicated to the front office he’ll sign the extension.

If he’s truly willing to extend then I keep him.

Get theis the f out of here ASAP

I’m torn on Wood, def shouldn’t pay him MPJ money but I think 20 mil would be more than fair in fact a steal. Depends what kind of contract he’s willing to take from us.

Why do you think he'll walk? I think Wood understands the situation at hand. Like I said previously, with how Porter and Green has been improving lately and with tradable assets in Gordon, Theis and draft picks, things look bright on the horizon.

Also, Wood is a YOUNG 26YR OLD. Meaning he doesn't have a lot of mileage on his legs, similar to others who have came out early and has been playing pro ball since they were 19/20 yrs old.

This place would MELT DOWN if he goes to the Warriors and becomes and efficient 20/10 guy

    Exactly.
Trading Wood would be a huge mistake unless you get back a player better than Wood.
    Rockets have enough picks.

It's obvious that you are intending "Mo Bamba Fan" to be an insult.

That's the definition of hypocrisy for you to scold me for insulting others while behaving the same way.

Unlike you I dont pretend to NOT insult someone and play like I own the high road.

    And at least be honest.

The context of both Mo Bamba and AG proposed trades was to support Harden.

MDA and his system would additionally have weaponized either player NEXT to Harden.

And neither examples relate at all to current or future roster with Silas at the helm.

    And you know this.

Why not call me out for pushing to sign Wood?

Or being against the Wall or Oladipo acquisitions?

Or my stance on drafting Mobley or Barnes over Green?

Or my stance to trade up and take Sengun or Jalen Johnson?

Or my stance on taking Bones Hyland with late FRP.

Better yet, call me out for criticizing Stone when he was first promoted.

Or for pushing for Silas hire, then quickly realizing that he was the wrong fit for the team even before season started due to his personnel management, no real system, poor adjustments and even poorer rotations.

Criticize me for wanting to re-sign Olynyk but cautioning patience and optimism when Theis was signed.

If anything I'm quick to admit a mistake and I've been critical of Silas 2 big line up from jump street. Moving Wood to the 4 was a catastrophe from day one which I also pointed out even though CF was overwhelming in favor of this move.

Any of the above would be more relevant to current team as well as delineate your actual insight into the organization, trade savvy and basketball knowledge in general.

He will be a 20/10 guy because the Warriors are a good team. He wont be the warriors best player though. EDIT: Then again with Klay back I cant see him getting 20.

You want to pay him a max contract? Do you want him to walk for nothing in a year and a half?

Suppose you pay him max and then end up landing two bigs in the draft. You want to commit 100+ million in salary between Chet, Wendy, Sengun and Wood?

I like Wood, alot actually, but it's time to sell high. He is a complimentary piece, not a core piece. We need to know what we have as our core building blocks before we hand out long term deals to complimentary players.

It's not about his age, it's about his contract, and how much control we have over him, which is basically none.

I hope the melt down is due to him going to the Warriors (even that is hard to process considering the Harden era is over in Houston) and not him being an efficient 20/10 guy. Wood has the skill and tools to be that 20/10 guy. Heck, he was that last year at 21 points and 9.6 rebounds in 41 games played.

LMAO so your answer is to pay him big money and not develop young guys behind him. What would be the point of that on a rebuilding team? You guys are really trying to turn us into AD's Pelicans LMAO.

    TLDR

I like Mo Bamba. It wasn't an insult.
