McGrady and Kobe were all ballers at age 22-23, the former even had this peak at that age.

It is possible to ball out when you are that young. Sometimes all it takes is one season flipping that switch.

Perhaps a vast, league-wide anti-Rockets conspiracy because opposing teams like us having a turnover-happy PG.

If we would let KPJ be a score first PG, the game would open up for everyone else on the floor. MinusTheis.

Leading us to W's over the last couple!

No coincidence that Theis and to some degree JG are out.

Thats nice. But if they voluntarily bring up KPJ in the conversation - that would hold more weight. In comparison to having ask about him and the possibility of giving you the answer that you wana hear.

KPJ is super talented, his gifts are truly NBA level. Testament to last nights endgame, he mistakenly goes for the wow play than a winning play. Hopefully this is fixed with maturity. But it worries me that in his 3rd year in the league, he still plays so recklessly and sometimes selfishly. Those offbalanced threes in the endgame were painful.

How did you like the W?

    Easy to nitpick errors.

Happy for the W... any W ofcourse. Just not a fan of trying hard to find confirmations to our respective biases and dismissing context and nuances to the supposed "praise" for KPJ.

He just needs to mature and become smarter -

He jacked 3 straight 3’s trying to make the big splash allowing Hornets to close gap

He made 2 horrible passes when a simple pass = points

Has to stop short arming layups

Really good game last night. I hope it is a sign of things to come. No double center lineup and shooters spacing the floor is how it should’ve always been. It’s like they prioritized playing Theis over what was best for Wood, KPJ, Sengun, and Green which pisses me off when I think about how illogical that decision was.

Keep in mind, Charlotte has the WORST defense in the Eastern Conference and like the 3rd worst defense in the entire NBA in regards to points allowed. Their defensive rating was 26th out of 30 last I checked. New Orleans and Orlando were 27th and 28th and our next 3 games are against those 2 awful teams so we should be able to score easily in the upcoming games as well. I see this as a great opportunity to build some confidence here that can maybe carry him through the rest of the season against better competition.

KPJ fulfilling his potential expedites the rebuild.

His physical tools and raw talent are elite, but he's so behind on some other skills (finishing at the rim for example) that I'm not sure. More than likely he'll never reach his ceiling but I hope he does and it's too early to give up on him.
