ClutchFans Game Thread: Hornets @ Rockets 11/27/2021

I was ok with Sengun's minutes today. Despite some signature brilliant flashes the team was operating better with Wood out there.

 

I don't expect them to make the play-in so it's possible. I still think they are a bottom tier team, I do think they are better than a lot of the other bottom tier teams though. I never believed they were that bad.

They look like a competent team though, team that would have probably beat the Lakers, Boston, and Denver those nights where if they were even decent they win those games. Probably beat Detroit that one game too. I feel like realistically they would have been like 7-12 (around that) or something and thus would have been right in the race for the play-in.

It's only been two games though, let's see if the offense can consistently be this good.

 

Much better play once Theis got out of the line up. That being said, we can't win too many, this is our chance to pick up another quality player in the draft and I would like it to be Banchero.

 

You think we can have any success playing both at the same time?

 

We won't be shooting 45%+ from 3 very often.

The goal is always to build enough talent to win a championship.

Every team in the league is trying to do it every year. With Harden we were competitive for a decade and people were unhappy we didn't win it all. We don't have another superstar or MVP caliber player like that yet.

Play to win it all and be the best long term, don't play to avoid the pain of not being the worst.

That being said it was a fun win, but still want the top pick.

 

Only one way to find out but if I were putting money on it, I would say no at this moment in time.

 

What other coach has turned a 30% 3 point shooting team into a 47% 3 point shooting team? Too early to call Silas COY?
