Can someone find Kev Porter's barber and buy him a beer?

He was shaky af down the stretch and clearly has a lot to learn, but there was also a lot to really like about his game tonight.

His good pass to bad pass ratio was definitely in the positive tonight, can't say that about some of the early games this season.

People are stuck on this idea that just drafting top 5 means you are picking up star players. Not at all true of course.

I don't think it will happen. I have to bold this people will say "JAY PREDICTED THEM IN THE PLAY-IN!"

But...I absolutely root for this team to make it. I hope they go on a 15 game win streak and then Green comes back averaging 20 and looking like a young Kobe.

That absolutely wouldn't set us back. All it would tell the league is that our young core is legit and any FA that's considering on joining a team why not join this young team and be part of something special?

 

Silas Job gets threatened he takes out Theis and plays a good rotation.

They're a breath of fresh air over the Rockets commentary team, that's all I know.

 

I hope we keep winning and play the young players but when the trade deadline comes and we trade half the team we will start losing and get Bancheros

 

It's a noticeable difference when you don't have Theis shooting all those wide open 3s a game and bricking them.

I made this point before but...

The entire point of the draft is to draft someone good enough to make it impossible to tank. Like Dallas was done tanking when they drafted Doncic, Memphis done when they drafted Ja,

If that's KPJ, Green, or Sengun, ah well. That just means we are ahead. If we make it into the playoffs on the backs of vets? Then yeah. That sucks.

but if its on the backs of our young guys? That's nothing but good news.

I think sometimes you fall into a trap trying to build a championship or bust team...just try to build a competitive team that still has the flexibility to get better.
