They shot 47% from 3, both wins have been a result of lights out shooting...I wouldn't read too much into rotations.
We're lucky Bulls is also playing small. It will be different when we play against team that has PF. Our problem is Wood is a C and can't play PF.
I think they just wanted someone better on D, who could still hit an open 3 and was $4m a year cheaper. If you view Theis as just a 3rd big, then I think his signing makes a little more sense than bringing Olynyk back would have. At some point Sengun was going to overtake either one.
Daniel Theis is a good backup to Sengun if we traded Wood. Wood is a toxic player on this team, he thinks he's the franchise superstar and he almost lost us the game last night by turning the ball over consecutively and not playing any defense (yes he made that easy pass to the corner to seal the win, but please, Sengun would've made that read easily).
I don't understand how it makes more sense to pay Wall 92 million dollars to play and eat into the minutes of the players who could actually have a future with us. That's what doesn't make sense to me. And Garuba is playing. He's playing in the G League. And he's not lighting the world on fire there either.
main problem has been missing free throws, lost quite a few games because we suck at the line.......nearly lost tonight because we couldn't convert from there again. Also it takes time for any roster with the amount of changes we had, to adjust and get consistent at a game plan
Then FO really should have drafted Mobley and re-signed Olynyk. The 4M is secondary to "hit open 3". And Mobley runs circles around Theis defensively. FO either outsmarted themselves or are simply incompetent.
Oh - for some reason I thought Theis was injured. Did not know he was just placed on DNP. Silas was literally quoted as telling the young guys that they needed to watch Theis.
