Probably not a top 50 player, but I'd say he's still a top 30 PG in all honesty (if not a little higher.) Not good enough to make us more than a bottom tier team, easily good enough to run our offense more efficiently than it has been and get our youngsters involved. I also think that the fact he's having to have dialogue to play due to their focus on development means he's less likely to play greedy as they'll just shut him down again. Multiple 10 assist seasons says John Wall is more than capable of being a great facilitator for our youth (and that's also the best way for him to make himself a trade target in all honesty, nobody is buying him as a star, many would buy into the idea of a top tier distributor who still has athleticism in the bag to put up solid scoring numbers too.)

There's plenty of playing time for Wall if you trade Eric Gordon, which you absolutely should. You can probably get a 1st round pick for Gordon, and Wall needs to play because either he'll rehabilitate his value or contribute to the tank - either one is a positive outcome.

    PG: Wall / Augustin
    SG: Porter, Jr. / Mathews
    SF: Green / House
    PF: Tate / Martin, Jr.
    C: Wood / Sengun

With this much youth you need a vet PG on the floor.

In general when players give back money in a buyout situation , its Far less than 5% of the total .... chump change even for the Rockets & Wall.

This should expedite a Gordon trade. He’s worth at least a first easily, and there’s not enough minutes to play him and Wall both. One of them NEEDS to go ASAP.

Hey I didnt have time to read the whole thread cuz I got both a girl and a guy over for a fun time, but, we should move porter to small forward and bench Tate, (which Silas won't do) and staet wall

Offens would be IMMENSELY better instantly

    But.......this is Silas....so it won't Happen

Dumbest coach u can remember....and I've seen some dumb ones

    Man

If only we had a good coach

Abdelfattah? Anyone? Ok ,I'm bias. I'm part Armenian.

He wants to start? That's as comical as House demanding more touches. Buts it's Silas so you never know.

I think the market is low for him so more showcasing.

Honestly, I question if he's a top 100 player anymore. Dude was terrible last season, and that's just factoring his play on the court without considering his contract or injury history. Anyone worried playing Wall will hurt the Rockets' chances at a top pick did not watch him play much last season.

I really doubt this one will be Silas decision. Wall's agreement not to play was with Stone, so if he's going to be negotiating a return with Stone, his role is likely to be agreed upon during that negotiation. Silas will probably be forced to play him however Wall/Stone decide.

I'm not on board with Wall getting significant minutes with the current roster. Now if the Rockets can move on from some other guys like Gordon and Augustin, and he's willing to play fewer minutes, I'd be OK with that. But if playing Wall means you're preventing a young guy from developing, that's a huge mistake. There's a reason Houston opted against playing him at the start of the season; and I have no clue why they would change their minds this early into the season.

Move KPJ to SF, EG back to bench, reduce Tate's minutes.

I wanted John cut but KPJ needs to be eased into PG if he ever will be one.

I could make a joke here, but I'll just leave it alone.
