he does remind me a lot of scola, except with a lot more polish on playmaking/better at finding his teammates

That's my point. I just can't believe any coach would make that kind of decision.

He has good form already, once he can hit it with more attempts he will be on his way to be an all star.

The more I watch Alperen the more I am impressed.

    1) He is very focused during the game. He is getting less minutes than he deserves, just 19 years old but still keeps his focus all the time, regardless of the team being down 30 or the refs ripping him off.

    2) His defensive positioning, effort and hands are incredible. He has a lot of deflections and steals. On top of these, there is a lot that don't show up in the stats, where he forces a bad shot, somebody else steals the ball (he has a lot of steal assists!), or a 24 sec violation. It is a joy to watch him move in defense.

    3) His screens are so good. Both in pnr and to set someone behind for a 3. It would be very nice if Wood could actually learn to set screens from him.

    4) His 3 point is surprisingly good, both the form and the percentage he hits them.

I don't see many negatives from him. Just minor things.

    1) His free throw percentage is less than expected. And I hate talking to the ball thing. It is stupid!

    2) When he posts up, sometimes he does wonders and sometimes he ends up doing something meaningless.

Looks like he is really special. It will be a joy to watch his development.

    This is blatant lying.
Sengun came in, tried to take a charge & failed, airballed a 3-pt.er, committed a turnover, another foul etc.
The Bulls commentators started to openly make fun of him.
It took some time for Al-P to settle.
Silas could've subbed Theis in at any time.
Still, he did what he could - limited my man to 16 min.s of PT.

He could not put it Theis because it was a close game, and if things went bad, he would look like an incapable coach, which he actually is. No serious coach makes this kind of explanation. A coach has a game plan, rotations, reactions to what the other team does etc. It can make sense only for the last few minutes of a close game.

And why is Alperen playing 16 minutes, when he plays fantastic and Theis is not playing?

Silas is terrible and he has to go.

If Sengun doesn't make the all rookie team, I'd be very disappointed.

And it would be completely Silas' fault because he refused to play him enough minutes.

There are only 48 minutes in a game. Are you suggesting we go back to the double big lineups that we know are horrible? Do you think there's a way to make these work? Or do you think 32 minutes is too much for Wood?

32 was too much for Wood in any case, and he was not playing particularly well, to say the least.

And the only two options are not two bigs, or more balanced minutes between the two bigs. It is Silas's job to find ways to make use of one of the most promising rookies. This is exactly why he is getting paid millions of dollars. If he has nothing in his bag more than we do, he should be fired.

Good point, but it kind of reiterates that we need to trade wood because there's not enough minutes to make everybody happy

Unless we move sengun to Power Forward. .. but Silas has a love affair of putting tate and even house at Power Forward

What do you mean? How could there be any other option? There are only 48 minutes in a game and only 5 players on the court. If you're only playing 1 center, and neither of these guys are out of position, then Wood+Sengun = 48. It's that simple. If that's the case then Sengun's minutes will stay low, unless you reduce Woods minutes. The only other option is to play one of these guys out of position (probably at the 4). This hasn't worked so far, but there could be some combination that does work. But it's still playing two bigs. Silas can't change the rules of basketball.
