Welp. There he goes. Hopefully it is not for too long but we'll see. Mobley is leading rookies in blocks per game Top 5 in steals 2nd in scoring 2nd in rebounds... Remind y'all of someone who used to play on this team? Oh and I'm sorry Jimmy butler with a 6'8 wingspan turned out ok of a defender. So maybe there is hope.
What karma? Jalen Green wasn't wishing an injury on Evan Mobley or anybody else. He's just a young fella who has been playing better recently--and unfortunately suffered a (hopefully not serious) injury. Karma would be if a poster derives joy from an injury to an NBA player and then ended up breaking their jaw while masturbating, or something.
Green fanbois were gloating over an injury to another player, so the object of their obsession went down with an injury as well. It's a minor injury, so it doesn't effect Green really, and it ended up benefitting the Rockets....they played one of the best games all season as a result, so the only people upset about it were the Green fanbois.
Would it be too much to ask to at least wait and see what the extent of the injury is before you take your victory lap? Sheesh Also, how did you think he looked prior to the injury in the 1st quarter?
****, you're saying Jalen Green's over here catching stray karma bullets, then. If that's how karma works, none of us are safe. like non hope to see Jalen back ASAP, he played great last game
No need to go into the supernatural just because Bobby feels so great about himself. Coming from a Non Green gang member. Athletic players get injured, that is common in sports and basketball.
U do not know how karma works. What Green fanbois do/wish should not correlate with green getting injured.
That's how it happens sometimes man. He looked really good in the first....at least offensively, he was embracing a role as a an off ball scorer and a transition scorer and he was hitting his shots. He was still a net negative to the team, but it was MUCH closer than when he tries to be a primary ball handler or when his shot isn't falling. I don't think he should rush back though, let the team have a few fun games first.
I almost didn’t like just because of that little knife turn right at the end about letting the team have some fun without him lol. Never change! More fun was on the way regardless with no Theis in the starting lineup, more KJ and Sengun, and a much easier schedule with 3 games against the Magic and Pelicans, but I digress.
Green looked ridiculous in the 1st quarter. Once he puts on some weight there will be very few players in the league that can do what he can. If any. He's a cut above Cade right now and no one in this rookie class is even in his stratosphere offensively. Combine that with how Sengun looks and there's a lot of optimism to take. Just need to really see if KPJ is a starting caliber player or if they should put him in a 6th man role. That way we can shop for a real PG in free agency.
It was too bad Green got injured this game, he was really cooking and keeping us in it in the first. The team finished great defensively without him though with Matthews and House, but we all know House probably won't have another game like this. Playing Green is tricky, because if he doesn't hit his stride on offense, he becomes a liability on other parts of the game due to his size and hesitating too much. I thought one of the main reasons we won last night was because our defense and rebounding were really solid. We really played a physical game, closing out hard and creating a lot of deflections while collectively rebounding. One thing Green should be doing with all that athleticism is really going after longer rebounds, that doesn't require too much strength, it mostly requires paying attention to where the ball goes. Even Armoni brooks was able to secure a whole bunch of loose rebounds and starting fast breaks last night, and he's not that much bigger physically than Green.
The fact that anyone wants to take a victory lap over an injury let alone on THEIR teams rookie is gross
Perspective. Green looked good in 4 out of his previous 5 games. That’s 80%. I’ll take that and not complain at all. If he can manage to play well in 4 out of 5 games the remainder of the year he’s in the running for rookie of the year easily. He’s progressing.
Bro if that's how karma works I guess Mobley better prepare for season ending injury due to all the crap you've said about Green so far.
Hakeem averaged 20, 11 and double the blocks of Mobley in his rookie year. Point is its dumb to compare to best ever players to rookies whether that's Mobley or Green. You comparing Jordan's defense to Green is as dumb as comparing Hakeem to Mobley.
Jalen Green is averaging 14.4 points on 60.5 TS% in his last 5 games. In October across 6 games, he averaged 8 drives per game, shooting only 33 FG%. In November across 12 games, he averaged 10 drives per game, shooting 56.8 FG% In his last 5 games, he averaged 9 drives per game, shooting 66.7 FG% Across 18 games, first 9 games he shot 73 FT%, next 9 games he shot 88.9 FT%. It's only been 18 games for the 19 year old, but the only thing that really matters is him improving across different areas. Anyone watching the game for example, can see Green has been much more lethal driving to the basket in his previous 5 games.
