    The original DA was friends with the defendant and has been indicted by a grand jury for obstructing the case.

    Can't emphasize this enough. If not for the cell phone video this case would've never gone to trial. It would've been dismissed and the McMichael's slapped on the back for "protecting their neighborhood."

    While this is a good verdict and one that seems obvious to most of us in February 2020 the local authorities didn't think anything was wrong with three white men chasing a black man on foot down in trucks and then shooting him when he tried to fight back.

    this and the George Floyd case are 2 they had to get right or people would start taking matters into their own hands…can’t have such obvious murders getting not-guilty verdicts

    Those sentences sound right to me. Will again emphasize that the first prosecutor declined to press charges and even said that the Arbery's were just trying to protect their neighborhood.

    Again, this wasn't the 1950's or 1960's. In February of 2020 law enforcement was fine with three white men chasing down a black man in trucks and then shoot him when he was cornered and tried to fight back.

    Life for Bryan sounds a bit much. Did we ever learn who actually fired the shots? I was not expecting them to get life, let alone both of them. Kind of shocking.

    Also, while we're at it, let's remember and memorialize all the total right wing dipshits in this thread who fell all over themselves to protect and excuse these obvious murderers because it fit their cultural narrative.
