We need a coach who actually has an offense that involves more than threes and rim shots and or actually play our good shooters more.

Just finished this, great read. Really liked all the stuff you wrote about pace, anyone who reads my posts on here has seen me rant about how much I hate it when coaches and media types say "the best pace in the league." It's not the best! It's like saying we have the "best" number of dribbles in the league, it's meaningless, there's no correlation with success, and you did a great job of explaining that here.

Also, a minor correction that you probably want to make -
This should either be 0.957 points or 95.7 points per 100 shots. I wish the rockets could get 95.7 points per shot.

Not true at all, this team is demonstrably WORSE than any of the process sixers so far.

Yea Im sure the game plan for Silas was "HEY LETS GET A BUNCH OF TURNOVERS AND LETS FOUL A LOT." I knew about the three point criticism. The at the rim frequency is only bad because we dont have enough possessions which is because of the turnovers.

But you know what, maybe he is bad. I wonder how this team would look with a different coach.

Everyone does. Which is why people are asking for change.

All we know is that with him, this team is on pace for the worst record of all time.

I dont know how you feel about that, but I'd rather that record stays with the dead bobcats.

The article wasn't written with the intention of proving to anyone that Silas is a bad coach, rather to disabuse people of the notion we are doing things well if only some luck and shots would go our way.

Change for the sake of change doesnt do anybody any good. Sheesh man, at least wait till the end of the season. But you know what, fine whatever. Fire him if thats what yall wanna do. I want to see just how wrong I am about this. Maybe, it really is that he's a problem and that we'll become a twenty win team when he's gone.

    I've been preaching no Theis/Tate/Wood.

People love to ignore the fact that Tate kills spacing because he's such a lovable guy.

All the blame tends to land on Wood or Theis depending who you ask.

Tate is a PF, he is not a starting level PF. He definitely isn't a SF unless you're surrounding him with shooters. He is a 15 MPG hustle guy for right now. He could be better but...

Tate isn't very good yet as much as we want to love him. He tends to get tunnel vision and never hits the right guys for open shots. He turns it over far too much for a guy with low usage. His shot is worse than it was last year.

I'm actually fine with the Rockets selling high on Tate. I love Tate and the way he plays but the fact that he claimed to have worked on his shot all summer and yet, this is the product, well it has me wondering how much more work he needs. Realistically we aren't even close to being a play in team, so it's not so damn important to keep Tate around.

The sixers went 1-30 with a -13.7 net rating. We are not worse than that team yet.

I think anyone should be available.

I think anyone not named Jalen or Alperen should be readily available.

I fret that more and more teams will end up with horrible records once draft quality goes down even more.

I was always on the lets wait it out train last season. This season there is no more excuses in my opinion.

People used to bring up that he didn't have a chance last year (no trainingcamp, almost no practices) which was true.

This season he has had all of that and somehow instead of getting better, the team has regressed.
Wood, KPJ and everyone that was playing somewhat well last season has regressed. And not just by a bit.
He hasn't shown me anything that leads me to believe he is remotely capable of coaching an NBA team.

I don't want that negative record for the rockets. We'd be even more of a laughingstock than we're right now.
Getting a nice lottery pick is cool - but not at the cost of that.

OTH i am sure Silas will become a hof coach in a few years because hes an offensive genius and we can bring him back then....so we get the best of both worlds!

I find it hard to imagine Silas is dumb enough to put out the lineups he's putting out without outside pressure. If it is the front office, they better not fire him before we can at least see some more Sengun/KJ minutes

But you have no idea what he's doing wrong or right though?

Except for the obvious parts, no. How would I.

I think the obvious issues are somewhat big enough to make me think that he's not that good tho.

If you want I'll list em up, but I'm sure most of them you've heard numerous times already.
