The GOP/Conservatives/Fox News (Propaganda arm of the GOP) hate people of color (they tolerate ones that have similar beliefs) and will do anything to make sure every bad news item that involves a person of color is played up...no matter how small. You should read the comment section of Faux News. The Racism/Bigotry is laughable. "13% - code for black people", "I would like to solve the puzzle, Pat" (play on Wheel of Fortune...that is where is the story is bad or is a crime...a black person is involved).
The media should definitely get verification before putting stories out. That's different than lying.

I'm listening to the news this morning and they are saying that the suspect might've done this deliberately. I haven't seen the evidence yet on that but my guess is it has to do with social media post.

The early reports was that he wasn't trying to deliberately kill people as he was just trying evade capture. Early reports were saying he didn't appear to swerve or try to hit people but was just trying to get through as fast as he could.
