exactly…Stewart out here faking and frauding for the cameras

he had Lebron right there and did nothing, then when there’s 20 people between them it’s “h-h-hold me back, I’m gonna kill him”

    man stop…

he really looked like was hyping / riling up the crowd. that may not been his intention but good thing the crowd didn't do anything like throw something onto the lakers players..

You do at least recognize the MASSIVE gap between them as players right? Just how much better lebron is? I hate the guy but you have to live in reality

not sure why when this topic comes up, lebron advocates think we are being biased..i just honestly think kobe was such a killer...closest thing ive seen since michael...the way he was feared, and dominant.....i see the rsn for the argument ...i just disagree

Are you of the opinion that someone like horry or kerr is better then guys like barkley? I’m just curious how people argue against such overwhelming stats and data. Like the gap between kobe and lebron is so massive that they are multiple levels apart

There's going to be people who go against the consensus and argue that Kobe > Lebron or Harden > KD etc. There's no use having the debate as it'll go nowhere even after pages and pages of arguments.

You don’t think there’s a line at which it becomes an unreasonable opinion? Can i say that i think harden is taller then shaq and it’s a reasonable opinion?

There is data to support harden over kd because of the value of playmaking, but kobe and lebron there just is no data or logic or anything

This is isnt the same thing...your basing your opinion purely off "stats"...if thats the case dwight howard is a better shooter than lebron on 3 pointers this season....some think shaq is a better player than hakeem..while some think kareem is better than hakeem....its half stats half subjective...which is why the debated "top 5 players of all time" is different for each person...if we are to base it purely off stats than if anyone differs from anyones "top 5" you call them ignorant? Who's being unreasonable now

But my point is do you believe there is a gap where it becomes absurd? Can you argue for horry being top 5? What about terrance jones? Is there a line? All the metrics between kobe and lebron are so overwhelming.

Key phrase "For me" says a lot about your bias.

Does not matter why he threw elbows there is a reason they are flagrant now.

^ by that logic, you are making the argument that saying kobe is better than lebron is as absurd as saying horry is top 5? Metrics are not the only determinant of a players standing...which is why i revisit the same thing mentioned...these debates are subjective just as much as objective...Wilt chamberlain and bill russell are astronomically better than any centers or PF to have ever played then right? and if someone says shaq or kareem is better than bill, than they are being absurd?

There's probably some data or accomplishments the other side can use in many of these arguments. After all ranking great players isn't exactly a science. My point is both views are minority opinions and debating the topic is a waste of time (unless ofc someone enjoys having the debate).

I haven’t done much research into centers, and russell played before the merger so I don’t really count any of that. I’m asking if you think there’s a line. To me, saying kobe is better then lebron is as absurd as horry being better. Both are completely ridiculous takes that cannot be backup up in any way. Is the horry one more absurd? Sure, but both are completely absurd

I respect your opinion, but i disagree. If you are looking at PURELY metrics, then maybe. However, theres a reason "whos the better player" debates exist. They are not purely based off metrics. We will never have a set "TOP 5" or "TOP 50"...player accomplishments, playing styles, eras, team strength, level of competition all play a factor. What baffles me is you saying that it is "absurd"...your calculus needs to account for more than just pure stats.
