And the opposite is also true. EGo has the best NetRTG. But EGo's best NetRTG is when he plays with Wood. CF believe their eye test that Wood is a worse defender than Theis, which is NOT the case. And if they believe that Theis is the better offensive player then their eye test is even more flawed. What is most laughable is that the 3 guys who CF want to be traded the most (EGo, KPJ, Wood) are actually the team's most efficient lineup. Offensively AND defensively. And 2 of the most popular players on CF are one dimensional liabilities. Green on defense (Green and Theis are abysmally bad) and Tate on offense (Tate and Theis are horrific).
And yet here you are riding for someone who is playing garbage compared to last year and using nonsense stats to justify it. Stop trying to act superior and calling me a fool, it gets old and you're so full of **** that it's just pathetic at this stage. Talking about offensive/defensive ratings like that means he's playing well when he:s averaging 16/11 on 44%fg and 31%3 and ****ing 53% from the line. Keep your moronic advanced stats, we only need the basic ones to know he ain't **** and our eyes to see his attitude is almost as trash as KPJs.

Get what we can for wood and move him . Maybe we can pair with nwaba or Gordon or house to get a higher paid player . Or mutliple guys . Theis will cost an asset to move and Sengun needs to start . if you’re worried about bigs getting in could trouble you can play kmj / Tate at the 4 and call up Garuba ... not like he will help the team win any less . but sengun needs to start . Dude has all the talent and smarts . Needs to see NBA starter pace so he can work towards that . Theis will take the demotion . Wood won’t with his ego . If you start wood and sengun is that too many mouths to feed tho ? Conclusion ... trade wood soon .
There was a play where I think either Armoni Brooks or Jalen Green was open at the three point line because Wood drew 2 defenders. Instead of kicking it out he took a contested midrange shot over two guys. Barely grazed the rim. That's not good basketball. That's not how a leader should play. anyhow, back to the grind..
Frankly speaking, he is easier to trade than EG and Jwall. We can pull that trigger and watch the Alpy show for the next 4 years.
Time to move him. Silas deserves some blame, but this season it’s like Wood has completely forgotten that he’s a big man. He tries to bring the ball up the court way too much and he wants to hang out around the three point line all game. On the break he should be giving the ball to a guard and he should be sprinting down the middle of the court to put pressure on the defense. Instead he wants to try to slink up court looking like the pink panther. And in defense it’s like he lost all his big man instincts. No help defense blocks…no boxing out and grabbing boards in traffic. get him outtta here
Just curious, this is for you and all others that want to move him - what kind of value do you think we could even get for Wood? At some point, if he plays bad enough, he will have tanked his value enough that it's worth it for us to keep him, right? Hypothetically, and I'm not saying this is where his value is actually at, but if all we could get is useless salary filler and a 2nd round pick from a contender (so a pick likely in the 50s), would you still want to trade him?
The time to move him was at the draft. Somewhat baffling we didn't do it and now his value has tanked.
Wood and KPJ For Bagley and Davion Mitchell 2022 1st (top 10 protected) Just my opinion. I would much rather have Mitchell running with Green. A much better fit not just with Green but the whole team. Let Bagley get big minutes starting with Sengun for the rest of the year. See what he has. He's just 22.
Green plays best with Wood and EGo. Get rid of both and watch his development regress. CF really does not understand about complementary play. Stats, advanced stats are tools but they are much more informative than subjective eye test.
Also- go look at the first page again. All the haters mocking me with 30, 40 and 50 likes on all their posts and pretty much 2 or 3 people agreeing with me. yeah- feel free to apologize all of you who called me an idiot. This wasn’t at all hard to see coming. Just wish we would have moved him a year and a half ago. Feel like we might have gotten More than #26. When you are in tank mode you can’t let assets die on the vine. You have to sell when they are ripe. 26 is better than nothing I guess. Barely. Maybe it can get paired with the 17 and something else to move up to 10 or 12. If it was me I’d offer 3, 17, 26 and maybe the Milwaukee one next year to trade up for Chet.
