Are we just going to ignore the play of Garrison Mathews?

Dude drew a couple charges and CF nuts on themselves.

 

Garrison Matthews showed heart today, I'm kind of impressed with him in his minutes.

We need a boxing nickname for him.

 

He plays hard, has a nice shot, and is a high IQ guy who is deceptively athletic.

High effort, high character guy who plays the game the right way, sacrifices his body on the court.

10/10 sturdy.

Alright fine…though I make those dumb jokes I do admit he is growing on me, if only because he really tries his best every second he’s on.

 

I like the fact that he's making plays and his shot is not consistently falling. When he gets use to the Rockets players and his shot starts to fall.....he's going to be a welcome site off the bench

He takes some stupid shots thinking he's Klay Thompson or something but most of this team takes stupid shots also. But he does a lot of things well. He at least freaking tries hard.

 

When this thread started a couple of days ago, I was tempted to congratulate OP for spelling Mathews’ correctly and predict no one else will ,,,,

Despite @{icebox425} having Mathews’ correct spelling in the Thread Title, only one other person (@TimDuncanDonaut ) in this thread spelled his name correctly

If he's gonna be a more consistent shooter, I'm happy with him. He struggles, he fights and his brain works. Also, as written above, thanks to him, House plays less. I would definitely keep him on the team just because of that.

 

I would glady call him Garrison.

the only thing Silas has done good this season was give minutes to Matthews. Pleasant surprised. Could be a nice roleplayer in a couple years.

Needs to work on that awful fall-away motion on his jumper.

Can't play both. Mathews isnt a "pro" and needs to learn from house how to play the right way .same with sengun and Christopher and garuba. They all suck. They all need to sit for a couple of years to learn from caboclo, house and the great white hope theis. Once these spolied brat young kids see what winning is about from watching these vets win some games , then they can play.
