Believers in the 2nd Amendment made this happen. Justice was served. I've been watching the Arbery trial in addition to this one and that dude needs to do some time. Although Arbery was probably a thief and I think Thieves should be shot on the spot. That shooting was wrong.
Justice was also served when Chauvin was found guilty of all counts but I'm not going around calling Floyd a hero. Ya some are and I think that's dumb.
A miscarriage of justice in Kenosha James D. Zirin is a former federal prosecutor in the Southern District of New York https://thehill.com/opinion/criminal-justice/582403-a-miscarriage-of-justice-in-kenosha
Rather live in a society where we close the wealth gap which trickles down to solving a lot of mental health and crime issues to the point where you won't feel the need to arm children. Also you should learn about brain development. We don't let children drive cars because they aren't responsible enough to make mature decisions with a car. They are going to be more prone to things like wreckleslly speeding. Ya, that also applied to handling firearms. They don't have the maturity. To be fair many right wing nuts filled with machismo and hate for their ideological opponents also aren't mature enough.
It's like they were trying to lose the case but the prosecution wouldn't let them. Also I guess the jurors came to the conclusion that they could believe their eyes, the video doesn't lie.
This is going to get people killed. While you may celebrate it, this wasn't about justice, it was about the law. Laws do not equal justice. There are bad laws and Rittenhouse is free because of bad laws, not justice. The idea you can bring a gun to a protest as a citizen cop is wild wild west crap. Teaching people to bring weapons to confront people they hate politically and racially is not going to save lives but result in deaths on both sides - meaningless deaths that could have been prevented as in this case. There was no need for this violence. You can choose you want to blame for it. But the fact is, had Rittenhouse not brought his gun, the only difference there would be is 3 people would be alive and one not injured. That's it.
The 2nd Amendment isn't bad law. BTW, the right to defend yourself if you feel like somebody is going to do harm to you isn't bad law. You're right though, people will get killed if they chase people down and hit them with objects and pull guns on people. If the protestors weren't there burning and looting this wouldn't have happened either.
What? Aren't there statues of Floyd? Wasn't there a George Floyd day? There will never be a statue of Rittenhouse or a Rittenhouse day.
We've been teaching kids how to use firearms since they were young for centuries in this country. Kids can get their drivers license at 15 with a hardship license. That's more dangerous than carrying a gun. Are you against that law? What age do you think a kid should be able to drive? Why does the liberal side always seem to have the moral authority to decide what's right and wrong. Like Biden talking about taxes and paying my fair share, why does he get to decide what my fair share is? I guess you could say because we as a country elected him so he gets to decide and for this I say, let the pain reign and let people who voted for him feel the repercussions of these decisions.
I'll blame Rosenbaum who started it. I don't subscribe to the ideal that one should take a beating to preserve an aggressor's life.
The arguments Binger and Kraus made were just mind blowingly bad. I've seen better arguments on Facebook.
It will be interesting how soon attitudes and the application of laws change when so-called BLM protestors start attending protests carrying assault rifles.
the facts were against them and they had to scramble. If you watch Bingers opening vs closing statements, it could be two different cases.
