the catalysts for GM's 3+% pop today include the news that GM is expected to deliver the first Hummer EV Edition 1 units by the end of the year. The electric “supertruck” will have over 350 miles of range on a single charge and the capacity to charge at 350 kW. President Biden took an electric 1,000-horsepower GMC Hummer EV for a very quick test drive while visiting GM's Factory Zero plant in Detroit and Hamtramck, Michigan, on Wednesday to celebrate the factory's grand opening and promote government support for electric vehicle TA observation: a 5-mo cup-w-handle formation in the making, awaiting for the completion of the handle then, w no overhead supply of stocks, a big ascent
Seriously. I’m not often a bear but when stocks like this IPO or randomly go crazy, puts are almost a guarantee. There’s no reason for RIVN to be near this price.
Yall mention every car maker except the only good one - TM. Everyone is trying to do EV, meanwhile Toyota has a car that flies and they sell a bazillion cars and trucks globally. You'll never see ISIS rolling around in a Cybertruck.
If TSLA can put some superchargers near the mountains in Afghanistan, I would think ISIS would be all over the cybertruck. They are trying to clean up their image and what a better way than blowing up things while fighting climate change! Toyota's first electric car is supposed to be coming next year, I think. Man, Toyotas are great for buying it and not having to worry about the repairs for 100-150k. Then a few repairs here and there for the next 150k. lol.
https://www.theverge.com/2021/11/19/22791984/ford-rivian-ev-canceled-investment-ipo-jim-farley Ford no longer plans to make an electric vehicle with EV startup Rivian, CEO Jim Farley tells Automotive News. The Detroit automaker originally announced it wanted to make a Rivian-powered EV in 2019 when it made its first investment of $500 million into the startup. Ford and Rivian already canceled a vehicle they planned to make for the Lincoln luxury brand in 2020. One reason Farley gave for canceling the EV collaboration was the complexity of combining Rivian’s electric architecture with Ford’s own software.
This was kind of known since last year. They were supposed to make a joint EV SUV under the Lincoln badge back then, but decided not to last year. I don't think anything else was really announced afterwards. Rivian's big immediate haul was its relationship with Amazon and supposedly building delivery vehicles for them. Both Ford and Amazon have/had a big chunk of ownership in Rivian.
