If it’s legal for a kid to carry a rifle in public, then it’s not wise to go about attacking this person. Do so at your own peril. I absolutely hate that people can walk around with guns openly in public. I think it should be illegal because, wherever guns are, tragedies follow. But, given it is legal, these folks who got shot acted stupidly and it cost them their lives and/or opened themselves up to being shot. As much as I hate that it happened, the verdict is the right one. But, no doubt these kids running around with guns are on an ego-power trip. I would hope this guy would give up on guns after this but he’s probably headed back to the gun range first chance he gets.

When the Floyd ruling came up, the vast majority of conservatives thought the verdict was incorrect because they thought the threat of rioting influenced the verdict. So you guys didn't even believe in it. The vast majority of liberals and moderates here agree with the verdict but have an issue with praising the loser kid as some example of promising young adult in society. Kids should be taught not to be like Rittenhouse. Pass high school kids and don't hammer fist girls in the back of the head and don't give off the perception of being the next school shooter to your classmates and get ultra aggressive and confrontational when you hear your favorite cult leader politician get insulted or criticized in front of you.
When I say that this country resembles the ideological battle lines of the Weimar Republic, this is what I mean. We just don't have hyper inflation. During this era in Germany, political violence rhetoric from right wing leaders was common place and just flat out accepted.
Of course... law enforcement and the court system could have dealt with them if that was the case... had the they not been killed by the kid with the illegal assault rifle wandering the streets during a riot.

Good for Rittenhouse. The jury made the correct decision. I hope for his sake, he stays out of the right wing circuit and can live a normal life.
Important lesson from this... don't go to demonstrations, and if you do, make sure to bring an assault rifle (even if you have to buy one illegally).
