Sengun is a rookie who would get better with more playing time. His fouls have gone down lately and even in the game where he had 0 fouls and was killing it Silas still sat him in favor of Theis.

Yesss! A TRUE INSIDER speaks! Thanks for chiming in - first and foremost hope YOU are doing well my guy and you're still fighting the good fight with health.

Has Silas lost the locker room yet? Tilman ready to eat some dead money and find a coach who can reach the youngsters? I think the right leader would make the rebuild more tolerable. If so who could you see as a replacement?

Be well dude - come by more often this place could use more rationality among the madness. One love.

Right which is why I said in the post you quoted : “I guess you could argue on a team this bad who cares about excessive fouls and turnovers, just let him learn out there”

Definitely Not the best player as he’s a rookie with no experience in the playoffs and even less in the regular season. This is quite disrespectful to Eric Gordon. Tate is even a better player than Sengun right now. Very disrespectful to those players. Tate is actually underrated, who is a championship type player doing little things to win that may not show up in the box score. I wouldn’t say sengun is better than green as well as i think green can’t play with KPJ. I like Sengun. He has a natural feel for the game and can be special and like Green the sky is the limit but to say he’s the best is just not true and very disrespectful.

It’s far more disrespectful to give the kid 5 minutes.
And as I said, arguably the best player on the team.
There’s really no doubt he’s the best rookie right now. That’s not a slight towards Green, Green is just more raw. Alp is a literal MVP, he deserves more respect. That’s not even mentioning every metric/analytic you can find backs up him being a good player right now.

I don’t know why he only got 5 min. My point is let’s not forget he’s a rookie. Its not like he’s a seasoned vet and number one option on the team with a super max contract. Let’s relax a little. There may be something he’s doing or not doing in games or practice. There may have been more favorable matchups or momentum with Theis or other lineups. We just aren’t privy to that info and really no need to waste time on that. If he doesn’t play at all for the next few games or his minutes are decreased that would be surprising and alarming and might merit concern. Im happy he’s getting playing time at 19 min or so a game. No doubt he’s talented. Let’s see if he develops and grow.

Bro, Wood for better or worse is the best player on our team, how could you ask a coach to bench him?
Im not, its just everyone goes after the dude EVERY DAY LOL and its 11 games man haha and we are bad and were expected to be bad. I dont know what else to say....but just give it a time. Dont worry in due time I could be complaining like the rest of you.

Because he fouls a lot and has a lot of turnovers, there are two right there.

Would you say the same thing for Green?
That’s the problem. Sengun has earned the minutes with his play.

Yes. And as I explained I don’t know what goes on behind the scenes as to why Sengun didn’t play more minutes last night. But The nature of the position is different as Rox rely on green’s playmaking ability at the 2. They are growing and developing him to play alongside KPJ. He’s very talented, highly valued and the organization is investing a great deal in their top pick. Not to mention his name is tied to marketing efforts and sales. By the nature of their circumstances they aren’t the same as hard as it may sound to you and Sengun fans. Highly touted draft picks aren’t going to sit for these reasons unless he just can’t flat out play and even so it takes a long time maybe even a season to evaluate a player of this magnitude. Both these players have earned playing time and that’s why they’re playing. Not one or the other. Relax sengun will get his.

That's why i use '…' to keep the key word 'fairlady' broken a little bit, so that either yo or hakeem94 whoever read it would not have too much pressure, even feel pretty offensive in certain scenario.:)

The logic is still inconsistent. Green hasn’t earned or deserves anything that Sengun hasn’t.

There are some unknowns. Both you and I don’t know why sengun didn’t play more minutes. We also don’t know whether Silas will do the same for Green in the future. I already explained to you by nature of the status and circumstances of these players why they are different. Also it’s just one game we are talking so I really don’t understand your dissatisfaction after just one game where you don’t have enough information to make a judgement of the head coach’s decision. I just think there’s less probability of green or someone like Mobley or Cunningham not playing major minutes by nature of who they are. There’s a lot of reasons for sengun playing 5 minutes and a lot of unknowns as well. and I’m not saying it’s fair or justified but it’s likely due to the factors I mentioned.

You act like Sengun is some undrafted free agent. He was the 16th pick and traded 2 future 1sts for, on top of being thought of as a top 6-8 pick by many pundits in a deep draft.
Senguns resume is far better than Green, so no there aren’t many reasons for playing 5 minutes outside of some kind of bias or sheer stupidity by Silas

In theory if you are rewarding guys with minutes when they play well (Theis) there is also a car to be made for playing a guy less when he is playing poorly (Wood). Sengun has played well this year and in my view also has earned more minutes.

He fouls, but he hasn't fouled out of a game yet. What is the point of holding a guy out for foul trouble when he's not going to play enough to foul out anyway? You try to keep guys out of foul trouble that you expect to rely on down the stretch, not guys that are going to sit a vast majority of the second half.

And turnovers, I don't understand having Senfun be the only guy penalized for turning the ball over on a team that averages 21 TOs a game.

It seems like there is a double standard being applied to Sengun when you compare how other players aren't losing minutes no matter how much harder they suck

Yea but most coaches arent going to treat non rookie players like that, you know what I mean?

Right, thats fine. Im more in agreement with you. But Im just saying there are logical reasons that could be there that Sengum isnt playing.

There really isn’t any logical reason.
