As much as I like the guy, he needs to go. I would consider making Porter jr the 6th man and try the following lineup Green Tate KJ Martin Wood Sengun
I'm really afraid what would happen if the coaching staff decides to change roles for KPJ. He came into this season thinking he was going to be some ball dominant Luka/Harden type primary playmaker. We know his mental health issues. I'm just wondering if it's going to turn toxic if the coaching staff ever decides he isn't that primary playmaker. I really want what is best for his mental health and I think the Rockets coaching staff made a mistake by giving their full trust to KPJ being the primary pg so quickly. If they eased him into the role, maybe he won't get so angry if they change their mind. But now that they promised him that role, he might feel stabbed in the back if it's taken away from him.
Unfortunately I am 90% sure Silas will be here for 82 games this season. Also, ain’t no other coach walking into this dumpster fire toilet crap franchise at this point in time.
If he can't deal with it, there is no way he is moving forward. As much as it was a bad decision by the organization, it is, at least on paper, a professional environment and everybody should act accordingly.
Definite time bomb situation happening there. Hopefully he enjoys his smaller role or he will get dumped in the CBA
This team would've won 3 games by now with Jeff Van Gundy!!** (**I now can admit that Silas has coached badly/confusingly as far as rotations, but I just think switching coaches this early creates yet more turmoil and this is a "turning chicken **** into chicken salad" scenario for any coach. Maybe in January at the half way point.)
Silas will be here for the rest of the season. Doesn't make sense to fire him, we want the #1 pick. If he continues to suck next year, he's out by Nov 1st IMO
Green/Gordon/Tate/Martin/Sengun with KPJ and Theis off the bench. Wood needs to be traded or benched. KPJ and Gordon are interchangeable but KPJ has shown he doesn't have the mental capacity to be a starter. Let him beat up on the second units. I cant imagine thinking Wood is a better player than Sengun at this point either defensively or offensively. I want to see Sengun get 35 minutes so we can see for ourselves.
I know Tilman is too cheap to fire a coach who is still under contract, but what if a fan offered to coach for free? Statistically @DaDakota couldn't be any worse than Silas.
Remember how great a Passer YAO was in his first couple of years here Remember how JVG strangled the sh*t out of that ability Imagine him doing that to AlP Have him banging on the blocked and only there for the inbound pass Rocket River
That lineup is intriguing to me… I’m for giving it a try. But I may switch Green and KPJ. With Green having a green light to shoot when he comes in off the bench to play.
Don't look now, but they are about to turn our franchise into a laughing stock......ooops too late I can see this team lose 40 in a row
Maybe Silas is smarter than all the rest of us and is a genius who sees that Sengun is overrated and House is underrated. Maybe in a few years when House is missing dunks in the All-Star game and Sengun is out of the league we’ll all feel a bit guilty the way we didn’t support Silas and his 1-14 record.
I think he has to go because he is not teaching them fundamentals - it seems. Would rather have a coach that teaches young players the game, and how to succeed than one who is like a guy that is comfortable to talk to... DD
