I hope so too; however, he was here for over 20 years and never took a break as long as that. 104 fever, polyneuropathy, dialysis, positive test; sadly, it doesn't sound good. I had many arguments with him over those 20 years, but somehow this made the whole Covid tragedy more tangible to me than anything else (I don't know anyone personally in real life who passed away from it). I caught myself checking many times if he had come back to post, which is why I brought this thread back up.

Yeah I've had differences with him over the years but never had any rancor towards him and hate to see a member of the Clutchfans community go like that. Really hope he's still alive even if he's not posting on Clutchfans.

Yes, many. One friend of mine got it really badly, he says he has never felt so ill in his life. I have another acquaintance who very publicly (on Twitter) described his daily struggles with long covid. Most of the ones I know had very mild forms of it. I still think I might have had it early on, in an almost asymptomatic form.

I have no doubt that it is a condition that has to be taken very seriously.

I just think that many governments have used it to severely erode civil liberties and I am shocked at how easily societies accept politicians seizing this opportunity to go on crazy power trips.

I’m sure my coworker got it before it was ‘officially in the US’ . Dude came back from an international trip and got sick for a month . Was put on a ventilator and his blood got sent to the CDC because nobody knew what it was. He recovered.

Repugnant would be far too nice a word to use to describe @dachuda86. It certainly doesn't describe @CometsWin, who is an outstanding member, in my opinion. He's not a person without a shred of class, like dachuda. Quite the opposite.

I have a 1st cousin. 20 years older who died of Covid. She was very careful. She was the nicest person.

I argue in support of Trump on issues like collusion and I supported him on rape accusations and things like that out of principle. I don't support his politics. I am not an anti government conservative. Protecting people is the government's number one job. His initial reaction is unforgettable

Interesting how you give the guy a pass on the things he could control but no pass on the things he couldn't control....only because you were finally affected?

You of all people should know the foundation is laid out by state control, not federal.

I just noticed I haven't seen a lot of links to Ann Althouse, Jonathan Turley or the WSJ Editorial Board. Has anyone seen @Os Trigonum posting recently.

I hope he's just taking a break or doesn't want to deal with Houston fans while his Yankees get beat again.
