The NBA's worst record in a single season is held by the 2011-12 Bobcats (7-59, 10.6% win rate), which was coached by Paul Silas, current Rockets head coach Stephen Silas's father.

Silas is on track to lead this team to break his father's record (1 - 13 so far, 7.1% win rate). It's always quite dramatic that a son breaks his father's record, and in the NBA, no one has ever come close to break such an important (albeit bad) record held by their father. I think that's definitely something to watch for this season. To achieve this, Silas needs to have a 7 - 61 or worse record for the rest of the season, which is still quite difficult. Do you think Silas is going to make it?

I think we’ll win over 10. Too much pride on this team.

Beating last year’s win total, on the other hand. That might be tough.

To be on pace with the record would actually constitute an improvement. At our current pace we break the record easily (7.1% vs 10.6%)That's how bad this team has started.

yes. If he doesnt pick it up a bit then i do think he is gone. I mean under what circumstances would you tolerate going say ... 4-50 . I mean , sorry dude , but you gave up , the players did , something has went just too wrong . He'd be a broken man. Leave of absence at best LMAO

And if we do pick it up , i think we will be better than his dad . It will mean he's found a rotation or a young guy has stepped up , or wood has gotten better etc. It will boost our confidence. We are just a win away from being able to play .250 ball ... I believe !

last year’s team finished the season 6-45

since being 11-10 at 1 point last year, the Rockets have gone 7-58 which is a 9 win pace

we are in that tier of worst team of all-time with the likes of the 7 win Bobcats and worst version of the Trust the Process Sixers

Harden got traded, and we embarked on a type of collapse rarely seen in NBA history…we look like the best G-League team which was given the opportunity to move up into the big leagues

and yes, Silas is horrendous, no doubt…but this team is truly an abomination

    talent matters

Pop about to miss the playoffs again with his team near the bottom of the West, and he’s the GOAT coach

Steve Nash could easily be a title coach, and he’s basically just a figure head who makes subs…he’s not in charge of the defense, and last year MDA was handling the offense (Idk who’s doing it this year)

Luke Walton went 39-3 with GS…been buns in LA and Sacramento

What is a coach doing with a backcourt of KPJr and Jalen Green? Then his other options are the Walking Dead extra DJ Augustine and bonehead EG. I mean, c’mon. No shooting whatsoever on the roster. Most of the players have low BBIQ. It’s a roster full of young guys. This team is just sorry

This train wreck might have been the first team to go 0-82 had they not caught a bad Thunder team slipping. So, yes I think he will break his Father's record, especially since there are more games for him to lose in an 82 game season.

Look at the personnel - last year's Rockets that played the minutes might have been the worst weighted average of minutes ever played.

This year's crew are those guy's minus Wall and some teenagers

I’m going to say he doesn’t break the record, but only because I don’t expect him to make it through the season. I so badly want to be wrong.

Also, this is a truly great, yet terribly sad poll question. Damn!

I wonder which Tilman will break first?

The one who's a cheapass or the one who's embarrassed in front of his billionaire friends.

Nice Guy Steve has the chance to one up his old man because the 7-59 came in a lockout season.

Old man Silas only got 66 chances to lose while Nice Guy Steve gets 82. He'll smash his Dad's record
