Dude they have a bunch of proven NBA players on their roster. What does two of the greatest players of all time have to do with it??????

No, they arent. Murray,Walker,Kendal Johson and others on their roster are better than what we have. If you are asking Eric Gordon and C Woods to be the best player on your roster, you are asking for losses.

Trae Young is fine, so was Curry, and so was Durant, and so will Jalen Green.

What? If they are playing selfish and refuse to listen that is not the coaches fault but even so, my comment was about dudes playing in garbage time against third stringers. I have no idea if they arent really buying in or if they are just bad. I said what it looks like it doesnt mean my eye test is telling the objective facts or that im really giving you something in depth, Im not. You are asking for things, when you have no idea what is going on internally.

One thing I have been wondering: The league Sengun played in before in Turkey plays at a MUCH slower pace then the NBA. And the Rockets are playing at the fastest pace in the NBA. I've been wondering if the reason he's not getting a lot of minutes is because he physically doesn't have the stamina to play at that pace for 30+ minutes a game. Nothing else really makes sense to me. He's very clearly one of the best players on this team - and the Theis/Wood combo has been a complete and utter failure.

lol of course I watched the games

it’s not a generality, it’s something that happens quite often…all of the sudden a terrible team starts looking ok and terrible/unproven players start having 20 or 30 point games towards the end of the year because teams are in full blown tank mode and a lot of playoff teams have already secured their seeding and are just biding time until the playoffs and contenders are just chilling trying to avoid injury

don’t fall for end of season play

Damn, a reasonable explanation. It also could be because he racks up a lot of fouls and his defense still needs a little work.

I just dont understand why dude's wanna fire people all the time when we know dick all and think firing the coach is gonna magically fix things.

Is there a player on the bench that can orchestrate an offense, provide energy on both sides and can draw quick fouls? You know what I'm going to need to ponder this for another 12 games before I decide who that is. Don't want to rush it.

A valid consideration. Still should be in the starting lineup regardless

Pop would trade Murray and Walker for Green in a heartbeat and he'd instantly look a lot better. They LOOK better, they are not more talented, but the coach understands how to better use their talent.

Trae, Curry, Durant...never on these terrible teams man. Curry's teams when he was a young rookie were below average. You're really missing how bad this team is right now...they literally were smacked around by the Pistons...at home...in the middle of a 10 game win streak...how you are excusing this is a mystery.

    Answer me this.

Why does Silas continue to play the worst lineup the most minutes? Why does Silas continue to play Wood and Theis together as if it works?

Will he need a 20 game losing streak to change it?

Yes, I know, we all see the talent of Sengum. But I have to believe there is logical explanation for why he isnt starting. He needs the time. He will get his. He's not going anywhere.

And if Silas really is as bad as you say he is, Silas will be gone and Sengun will get his minutes. There is nothing to worry about currently.

Teams haven't secured seeding 10-15 games out. And teams with the worst records in the league are "generally" not playing with that level of grit and tenacity because they are literally incentivized to give up on the season.

    But you do you, man

I've been saying this since the beginning of the season. The dude looked out of gas after playing 5-10 mins, but lately he's been looking better. I don't know if it was fatigue that contributed to his foul problems or something else earlier in the season. I still think he should probably be getting more minutes, but I don't know how he's handling it stamina-wise. There have been several times in transition he's been trailing his man, but that's pretty much the entire team at times, so I can't just put that on him. Who knows what's going on behind the scenes.

The thing that makes sense is Silas is an idiot. Silas has yanked him out when he's on a roll and looks like hes not tired at all. Anyway the only way to get acclimated is more minutes. Anyone who has ever played basketball knows that. I used to use basketball to get in running shape in high school for track lol

I only worry about how the level of dysfunction might affect the development of JG. I think we should make sure those guys play together as much as possible to give Jalen a chance to participate in something resembling a coherent offense.

On another note, as good as Sengun has been amidst and in spite of all this carnage, imagine how good he'd look on a real team

I think he just undervalues how much of an impact coaches have on a team. Most people do.

People really downplay it but it's not a coincidence Spo coached teams ALWAYS play well, Pop coached teams...oh and mentioned Kerr. Kerr taking the same lineup as last year to the best record in the NBA.

None of these guys would ever be coaching a team to 12 game losing streaks...20 game losing streaks.

This is what I've always kept saying, good coaches make players look better. As good as Sengun looks now...pretty much the only guy that looks good every game...he'd look a lot better if there was more structure and chemistry for the team.

I remember during pre-season the excuse was "We're not running our actual offense..." lol...but why? Preseason entire purpose is to practice against other teams...why would you ignore preseason and not run your actual offense? How does that make sense?

I dont even know if thats true, given how bad Green has looked right now. Green is not better than any of those players right now. He's just not.

KD first year 20 wins. Curry first year 26 wins. Trae young, 29 wins, then 20 wins the next year. And all of those guys were better than Green their first year. WE ARE BAD. I knew this was gonna happen because I was ready for this, we are bad. We have bad players. But its also early and we can get it together to get 20 wins or so.
Could be tanking? Could be trying to raise Thesis trade value. Sengum also could be fouling a lot and needs more time to adjust stamina wise.

Who knows? We dont know whats going on?

Im just saying to give it time. This is what was always going to happen. We are a bad team, this is the reality.
