The Coca-Cola Freestyle fountains are the truth! I started drinking Mezzo Mix [half Coke, half Orange Fanta] when I lived in Heidelberg and If there's a Freestyle fountain available that's my go to. So good.

Drank some other half and half stuff over there...half pilsner and half Sprite (radler), half Coke and half red wine (cola rot).

    All flavors are called Coke.

I use to live off diet coke and drank them almost exclusively most times mixed with Captain Morgans.

I gave them up in 2017 and now rarely drink either Captain or DC.

If I do drink a diet coke it's from Sonic and when they're on their A game they're delicious (must be the ice)

Have you ever had Sprecher root beer? They're a craft brewer out of Milwaukee. Their beers are pedestrian, but the root beer is fantastic. By far the best I've ever had. They have an excellent Ginger Ale and Cream Soda, as well. It's hard to find though. I can get it at Andy's Frozen Custard in NTX. Nearest one to Houston is in Pflugerville.

Yes sir. The Ace Hardware in Colleyville carries Sprecher. It's pretty decent.

In north Texas, Texas root beer is pretty good and up in Denton, Frosty Drive In makes their own root beer and it's really nice as well.

There's a Facebook group called Root Beer Hunters of America that's fairly active and quite informative.

When I talked about having a coke or sprite or whatever in a bottle - I was talking about a plastic bottle, not a glass bottle. Glass bottles are still pretty good, IMO, but plastic bottles suck. The taste is nothing like it is compared to an aluminum can.

    1) What is your favorite soft drink? Considering price, Diet Dr. B from HEB. Not considering price, the Dr. Pepper made with sugar, IBC Root Beer/ Black Cherry, or a handful of other drinks made with actual sugar.
    2) Do you call it a "Coke", the actual drink, "Pop", or something else. Coke
    3) Do you like it from the can or from a plastic bottle or 2 liter - in other words, how do you like yours fixed? Glass bottle if available. Can if from ice chest (i.e., can has to be ice cold). Plastic bottle if not.

    Root beer/Sarsaparilla

They're all Coke. My boss is from the midwest and calls it pop. She also prefers Pepsi. I call it dirty coke around her.

Glass bottle is best. Can is ok. Plastic bottle is not my preference.

In China, beer is considered a soft drink. So beer, if we're being globally inclusive. In a bottle.

Do you refer to it as Coke, pop, or soda? Stop avoiding the question!

Love some Frozen Coke from Mickey D's. Taste better than Coke Icee.

Man I used to LOVE this from the fountain, though I preferred 2/3 Fanta 1/3 Sprite.

gave up soft drinks many years ago but every once in a while I like a Sunkist or Welch’s Grape. When I drank soft drinks, I preferred Coke or Coke Zero out of the bottle. And yes, they are all called Cokes.

See that black spot in the centerish of Texas. That's Blanco County, and I have no idea what the "other" would be here...although now that I think about it I do hear "softdrinks" often and see it on menus. Hmmm. Is that a German thing?
