what do you mean why not? when's the last time a roster full of guys led by a 19 year old actually won at a high level. Where they skipped the entire process of losing seasons of a full rebuild and immediately won. That's not reality. It doesn't happen.I really have no idea how people tried to convince themselves this team would be winning. It's mind boggling

Wall could play and this team would still continue to lose at a high level

Well, Chet Holmgrem is a very real possibility right now and he's very long and fast enough to play SF/PF.

    Idk man lol

to me they need to be evaluated before that . I’m not saying fire ... but , we just look so rudderless right now .

the team is dead . Looks like they’ve already lost hope and there are 60 games left . The bench don’t even cheer .

any given year you can find undrafted guys and players from the g-league that play hard and have talent . It’s a dog eat dog league .

we just heavily invested in 4 first round guys. We can’t piss away years of their development

They are too bad to control losing and winning, once they play high level D, the record will get back to 0.500.

The key will be identifying their best player, right now, we don't have one.

IMHO, it might be KPJ or Sengun - I don't think I see anyone else that can be "THE GUY" on this team. Actually Christopher has the right mindset, but not sure he has the skills and drive......Sengun does for sure, and KPJ has unique skills but he needs to stop being so whiny.....

If we're looking strictly at offensive and defensive ratings it's not the defense that's killing them--it's the offense. Their defensive rating is 18th in the league whereas their offensive rating is dead last.

How many minutes have those 19year olds even gotten ?
Green we’ve played a lot , but sengun is just getting minutes and garuba and JC haven’t gotten more than a taste here or there .

we are losing playing Danuel house and Christian wood and Daniel Theis .

It would be one thing if we were playing only rookies or second year guys ... but we aren’t.

It’s basically a given that even if your team is ass .. you should Luck yourself into a few wins here or there .. another team is tired or you get hot .

we just look dejected and like we don’t expect to win a game .

it’s not a good product . You can expect losing , I do . You can be ok with a purposefully bad/young roster .. I kinda am .

I’m just saying ... it’s not pleasant to watch and I’m wondering how many seasons you can take / tolerate .

Those guys realize the problem, even with Sengün passing from the high post, you need a very good natural PG to complement the team.

Shooting will take care of itself.

They are just only talking and not acting on it.

And I do not really care about KPJ, should come off the bench for 15.

For D, you need at least 2-3 veteran defenders, that isn't easy with Tilman and his finances.

We could model ourselves after the Grizzlies but we do not have a Morant yet.

none of those 3 have the slightest of clue what it takes to win in the NBA. CF's is now shifting their hopes on them leading this team to winning now? ouch.

You just mentioned 3 guys who don't know how to win either. The only reason Theis experience winning was because he was a distant role player on Boston who have a couple of talented stars on that team. that's where his role is best suited for. Put him on the Rockets and he would always be exposed. I already said that when they signed him. Wood is no leader. He still is the same guy who just puts up some numbers on terrible teams. his impact on winning is far from there

This was never going to be something pleasant to watch. going from what we were the last few years to now has been terrible. I haven't been surprised 1 bit what this team looks like. I knew they would suck. I've been saying that from the beginning. The sooner people realize this, the better. Expectations should have never been set at a relevant level.

It has nothing to do with the PG, it has to do with a team that is starting their worst player alongside a bunch of mismatched toys.

Send Green to the bench, start Sengun and KJM next to Wood, KPJ, and EG and things would look a lot better. Not amazing of course, but certainly better.

Make Tate, Theis, and Green the first off the bench if you want, but make them earn their playing time.

That's a problem when your best player scores 0 points like he did last night, even if he's not a primary scorer.

They're all 19 though. I do think they could use a good veteran mentor but they're super young.

You have two more Drafts where you should be able to get a top talent. Then you're loaded with cap room and a few Nets picks that could look valuable by then.

That's when they have to make their move, imo. That's why I give Silas and Stone, etc tons of slack but they should be planning on building a playoff team by the summer of 2023.

We are the worst offensive team and it has nothing to do with the inexperienced point guard?

On this moment in time,14 years ago, The Sonics were 1-8. (finishing 2-14 through November)
    It's 11 pm
Let's go to caller 1 on the hotline.

Caller 1: "Durant sucks Azz. We've been bamboozled into taking this kid. He' Shot 16 shots to get his 18 points. Can't even lift a tooth pick. Get him out of here. " (Caller hangs up in disgust.)

Caller 2: " Durant is going to figure it out. I can see him leading Seattle to new territories for the next 15 years. Stay faithful, we love our Sonics! These relocation rumors are just that! GOooooo Seattle!"

caller 3: " Are you taking Seahawks calls? We're not getting anywhere with Hasselbeck and Holgrem. Tear it down. We will never win a superbowl. "

I feel like we start flipping the switch next season and get a Rubio like player to help with playmaking.

Top 5 pick this season and top 10 next season.

I don't want to hear anyone b****ing about the first year of a rebuild forced by Harden and not the team if they are a fan of the Houston Astros. The great Astros organization that tanked for 4 years.

I don't want to hear the hypocrisy about being mediocre instead of competing for Championships. Even the Lakers sucked for 3 years after Kobe.

Get with the program or go root for the Bulls or Grizzlies or something.

Right now the Rockets "franchise" player is a 19 year old that is shooting shooting 34% from the field, 27% on 3's and has more turnovers than assists. Asking him to lead the team to the playoffs in the next 24 months is a whole lot to ask. Could he suddenly "get it" and at 20 be an all star? Possible, but even then he isn't going to know how to win yet.

Further, whoever the Rockets get in this draft is almost guaranteed to only be 18-19 years old as well. If you look at the top players in this draft, they are all 18-19 years old. There is only one guy that isn't a freshman projected a an early lottery pick. So the Rockets will be asking a pair of kids not even old enough to drink to make a playoff push.

Also in the interim there is a real chance that Wood asks to be traded or is traded. Wall will be gone and the Rockets can sign someone, but no real stars will want to sign with a team as young as the Rockets. They can get a second tier type player or solid starter.

    Very little.

Most of it has to do with the mismatched players and the G league caliber player they are forcing into the starting lineup due to hype and draft position.
