My oldest (5) invented mRNA technology. My middle (3) has her own technology consulting firm and her two main customers are SpaceX and Blue Origin. My youngest (3 months) is Jesus Christ returned.
My 3yo destroyed a cheeseburger bigger than his face at IHOP this morning. Just relished it the entire way, randomly holding it up triumphantly and yelling ‘cheeseburger!’ and saying ‘mmmm yummy’ every bite. Everyone around us was cracking up.
Lmao, I’m dying over here. I do love the passion the young ones have over weird stuff. My two year old has a electric 4 wheeler that he just figured out goes backwards, has been driving it through the house backwards all morning just as proud as can be.
I’ll never forget when I presented my son to my father. His answer to me was how many more do you think you have out there? Even though she was a stripper at the time, I never expected that answer from my father I remember thinking to myself at the time. Does it really matter how many more I may have out there, this is the one I’m presenting to you
Sent this to him a couple months ago along with the original 60s song. He had no idea about the original song and is talking about performing it. EDIT. There's a simpler version, but I prefer the payoff in this one as a guy who is learning to really love Orchestral Maneuvers. Preferably in the dark.
I think it's awesome that you have such a cool relationship with your son. I used to sing the original Spidey cartoon theme song to my oldest when he was a little boy. He loved it. He's 16 today. I would say I feel old but its the opposite- having a 3yo and a 6yo as well keeps you on your feet.
Thanks, Man. He just messaged this on my Weird Al video. Me: "Was on a first date with a girl in the 90s. She asked what my favorite movie was. I said "UHF." She went to the bathroom and never came back. I still think it's funny. Bad dates make the best stories." Him: Yeah you've sent that to me before! Weird Al is great Derrick That is a funny story The video I still love but is a definite Dad joke to him. Lol.
Our daughter is 5 1/2 and our son is 2 1/2. They can both read letters already. He can string them together and spell the word, but still has to read them one by one. She can write.
Last week my 2 year old threw her ball at my head while I was driving then the ball fell under my pedals. Good times.
My 21 y/o daughter is a college senior and student teacher in Tomball ISD. Next year she will be paying her own bills so I'll be getting a new motorcycle or hot tub or something. My 19 y/o son is trying to figure it out. He's coming out to Ruidoso to live with me after Thanksgiving. I'm going to treat it like a roommate situation and make him pay rent and he's OK with that. What he doesn't know is I'm going to set that rent aside to give back to him when he decides to move out so he has a little savings. We've been talking about trade school instead of college so we'll see. I told him he doesn't have to have it all figured out he just has to get out there and start moving in a positive direction. I didn't have it figured out at 19 but I just kept taking college classes until I settled on something to pay the bills. Now days that is much more expensive so maybe a trade is the way for him to go.
