I did not think Sark was a great hire given his track record, but I didn't think the first season would be this rough. They have declined every game for two months. Who does that?!
Let’s see: Sark and his DC **** the bed against OU and OSU. Against Baylor, the players left many plays on the field. Last week, Sark’s offense got shut out in the second half. I understand why Bo Davis did what he did on the bus when players were laughing after the Iowa State loss, but the coaches are just as much to blame for the **** show the last month. Sark chose to go back to Card against Iowa State and that was a mistake. His schemes in the second half against OU and OSU left a lot to be desired.
A taunting penalty for spinning the ball? Stupid. What's stupider is how often this team makes the dumbest penalties.
They just lost to Kansas at home. That’s as close to rock bottom as you can get and should be fireable offense for Sarkisian. He lost the team in 10 games. Unreal. Tom Herman wasn’t perfect, but Steve Sarkisian is on Charlie Strong’s level. Both lost to ****ing Kansas. Note to CDC and the boosters: Next time you are looking for a head coach: Don’t hire a retread that was mediocre in his stop at Washington, embarrassed himself and the university at USC and only revived his career by coaching a loaded Alabama offense. This was a risky hire, and it has blown up in front of your faces.
Hahahahahahahaha I have no words left. The program has been burned to the ground. I was angry when Charlie lost, but this is darkly comedic. We deserve every bit of mockery.
**** this program, man It’s Kansas KANSAS Everyone in that program needs to go **** themselves. Entitled pricks
It was total horseshit, but that's how the NCAA said they were going to officiate things this year. Loved Schooler doing his best Blake Gideon impersonation on what should have been the game winning INT in OT. He doubled down and got toasted on the 2pt conversion just to make sure we noticed him.
None of these losers should talk about any of the other programs they subsidize anymore this year. At lease those other teams put out a good product (see the Volleyball team).
As an alumnus, I’m numb to it but still beyond angry. I know they won’t but I want the administration to show some balls and send Sarkisian packing after this debacle. I don’t care if it’s year 1. You don’t lose to Kansas at home, and you don’t get your ass embarrassed in the first half 35-14 in the process. Sarkisian is not the ****ing answer. His DC sucks donkey balls and his offensive game plans have lacked creativity, especially in the second half of most of these losses. Then, his D-line coach goes off on the team but there are few, if any, personnel changes from the laughing on the bus incident.
Tough loss, but it’s pretty cool that UTSA has the best football program in the UT system. Maybe Texas should see about hiring Jeff Traylor away from them? He’s doing a great job over there.
Plenty of blame to go around. Not Schooler's fault we had to force OT. The defense has been awful all year. Card also stared down a receiver for a pick 6. I hope this puts to rest any QB controversy for the rest of the season. Card is far from ready. The players don't seem to care, either.
Everyone in the program is to blame, but if Coach K and Sark really trotted out the same starters after the Bo Davis tirade, they are fools. What did they think would happen? Also, Sark loses credibility every time Card plays. He’s not a D1 QB.
For my whole youth I’ve known Texas as a powerhouse football school. In the last decade it’s been low after low. I myself have given up on ever seeing Texas return to being a big time college football program. We are a middling program and that is the end of the story.
Imagine how an alumnus like myself (class of 2005), feels. I was a student when all three of the major sports were elite. We went to the Final Four in basketball, beat Michigan in the Rose Bowl to conclude the 2004 season, and Garrido won national championships in baseball in 2002 and 2005. He also made the CWS in 2004. The year after I graduated, we won the national championship over USC. The last 12 years in football have been a never ending nightmare, other than Herman’s 10-3 season. Shaka Smart couldn’t win an NCAA tournament game. At least David Pierce has made two College World Series in the past four seasons.
