    People keep telling me the rockets are showcasing Jalen because he has a high usage rate. That doesn't mean Jalen is being put in positions to succeed like Mobley. Mobley out here in a good situation while Jalen is in the corner waiting for the ball with tate, KPJ and wood doing whatever they are doing out there.

    i picked Cavs to win in the poll btw, lol

    I'm getting pretty shook at how much better at coaching JB is than the Nice Guy

    well, let's not forget JB had time to be garbage to learn from his mistakes. I'm not surprised JB is a good coach. I'm surprised he got the 3 tower lineup to work in this era of basketball.

    Mobley vs Jalen aside, Watching the Cavs play fun, structured basketball gets painful when you remember we could have also had Jarrett Allen holding down the middle for the next decade. I'd prefer to have him on $20 million per year instead of Wood and Theis

    yeah, I get the frustration, but I just keep reminding myself: if Rockets got any good players last year, the record would be better, and their pick would have probably gone to OKC.. Not that it matters since OKC probably would have picked Giddey with the Rockets pick anyway..

    but losing the pick to OKC would have ended the Rockets franchise, so im good.

    I was just trying to work out how many extra Ws we would have had if we kept Allen but couldn't because last year was so crazy.

    We went from trying to convince ourselves that Russ would finally be healthy and good, to thinking that Wall and Harden was the foundation of a contender, then pivoted to trying to believe that Oladipo and Wall would be a playoff back court and then finally accepting the absolute **** show that rolled out after Wood got hurt and we traded the walking injury Oladipo for the amazing goat man Olynyky.

    Somehow this 1-11 start isn't so bad lol

    Are you saying KPJ not only undid Rocket's chance at Mobley (Mobley's dad), but now that we picked Green (Green having to play off ball, getting late shot clock passes), KPJ's ruining Green as well?

    .... i agree.

    For a player making under 2mil, he's ruining Rocket's #2 draft pick regardless of who's picked. :eek:.

    The passing of Cade was superior before the draft, can't do anything about that.

    before nba draft, the top 5 picks which draw much of my attention, in chronological order were:
    cade -> mobley -> jalen -> suggs -> scottie
    imo, if rockets front office was about to play safer, they should have single-mindedly focused on mobley (cade number one for sure), both are nba ready, cade's passing creativity and vision on court reminds me of magic johnson, while mobley bears a resemblance to chris bosh; as to the other three, i was quite impressed by scottie's hustle-n-bustle, suggs's ball-handling and jalen's athleticism as well as his shooting ability, but somehow i felt jalen lack of sorta aggressiveness and big heart, maybe it's because he's still raw.

    I mean.... Mobley has a chance of the rookie of the year.

    Rockets players saying Christopher will win ROY is as believable to them as them saying Jalen will win ROY.
