Already could see this day 1 when I saw Jalen just stand in the corner and wait. It bugs me when he's not involved in the offense and they use him as a spot up shooter.

But there will inevitably be a "poop or get off the pot" moment and the question is when does that moment come with the KPJ@PG project?

I commented the other day that trying Scoot at the point was an idea that was absolutely worth exploring, and if you are going to explore it you have to do so thoroughly. The Rockets have clearly committed to the experiment.

But what is the breakpoint? Because the immutable truth is his failures and shortcomings at such a crucial position will inevitably impact the development of other players around him.

So yeah, it makes sense that they exhaustively explore KPJ's potential and fit going forward during this development year window.
But the clock is ticking.

 

Ah yes, players who drop in the draft never pan out over ridiculously hyped players who fool teams into drafting them too high....

 

Why? He needs to develop that shot.

We are bad by design. We get to see what we have in KPJ before we need to start thinking about his contract.

I'm not going to read this thread. I already know what it's going to look like. I'm just guessing (just like all of us are just guessing), but I suspect they mean that KPJ developing THIS SEASON is more critical to determine their long term plans for him than what happens with Jalen this season. And NOT that they are putting less effort into working with Jalen.

But again, I am just speculating.

 

it all makes perfect sense to me, nba is a wwe and some of the agents of the players have more power over teams then owners themselves and huge mayority owners dont even care to win...(except as a lip service)...its just a business generating cashflow, or a toy, they dont care if they'll win championship or a game on any given night....fans care more than owners coaches and players...you care more about wining than silas, its just a means to him to put a food on his table... and the check is coming whether its a win or not...he aint givin a damn which player plays and how many minutes from results perspective, just a company/agents/etc yes man...
