For the record, you're against people protecting themselves against a violent mob. Would you have a problem with an 18 yr old protecting himself.

Also for the record I'm sure Rittenhouse know more about how to handle a gun/gun safety than you ever will. This is because he grew up in the country where kids start learning how to shoot guns at age 6-7 and the gun safety aspects that go along with the proper handling of guns.

Bottom line is, he luckily brought a gun with him so he could protect himself against a gun wielding mob. He was better trained and had more fire power than the person who pointed a gun at him.

Do you know when the frontal lobe is fully developed?

If you think a 17 year old has the maturity to make decisions on whom to kill and not kill in a chaotic situation especially one who was a high school drop out and who's own classmates have stated has a history of aggressive behavior and mental instability just because he shot some guns as a kid, you are off your rockers.

Last time I checked, I did more training to be competent in a chaotic stress environment besides throwing some rounds down range in a stationary environment hitting some paper targets and learning some basic operating procedures on how to use a firearm.

I'm not being vague at all. I do think there needs to be 1,000 Rittenhouses to protect their communities/property. If there were 1,000 Rittenhouse's in these communities the riots never would've started to begin with and this is my philosophy not a form of hero worshipping of Rittenhouse.

I know that at 17 I could handle a gun well and I could've seen me going down there like Rittenhouse did. I could also see myself at 17 or 80 doing the same thing Rittenhouse did when he was attacked.

This has nothing to do with age or frontal lobe psychology BS.

This has to do with a man walking the streets and being attacked. Luckily he was armed both with the weapon and the knowledge of how to use his weapon to take care of himself and the business at hand.

So you see him as a hero.

Yes, we need more high school drop outs who get aggressive when they hear their favorite fascist gets made fun of at school by their peers who by their own classmates claim that he's the type that gets pleasure put of trying to "trigger libs" who also is on video sucker punching a girl in the back of the head in their school parking lot.

Ya we need more of those totes roaming the streets making judgements on whom to shoot and whom not to.

What law enforcement needs in this country is more people who have no training in de-escalation tactics with low emotional maturity and filled with extreme political propaganda and not even a high school education. Ya that's what this country needs.

My 55 year old mother can handle a gun. That is the easy part. Handling firearms is rather easy. It's the maturity and training of when to shoot and when not to that Rittenhouse and you don't have. So no, we don't need you and Rittenhouse at 17 playing vigilante.

I do think the emotions are genuine. We have some capacity to at least partially suppress our emotions. Given that he and his lawyers probably knew him showing emotion had a good chance of working in his favor with the jury, it’s entirely possible that he chose to let his emotions burst out of him. We don’t really know one way or the other, which again is why I said a jury should try not to let it influence their decision.

Not just private businesses but people have the right (Per the constitution) to protect themselves.

Hence why Rittenhouse shouldn't have been charged with murder.

But you are going to a stro further and saying we need more Rittenhouses and putting him up on a pedestal.

Rittenhouse shouldn't have been there in the first place. At his age he should be at home studying and reading for school and intellectually stimulate his brain.

I would say when he was chased down and hit with a skateboard then had another guy pull a gun on him was the perfect time of knowing when to shoot and when not to shoot. He showed a lot more restraint than I would have. I wouldn't have ran before shooting at the mob that was trying to hurt me. Why? Because I would've been in fear of losing my life to a iolent mob and that ain't gonna happen.

He has every right to be there if he wishes.

This is freaking America not Russia/China.

If he was at home reading a book, he wouldn't have been chased down.

He was nothing more than an agitator. When the rioters and protestors see a kid with a rifle slung acting like Rikki recon roaming around and having banter with the cops, he is doing nothing besides causing agitation.

The only people who should have been there to protect those businesses were the actual business owners and professionals, not high school drop outs who have a history of showing bad judgement and violent confrontation.

Look dude. Don't tell me what you would do and not do when you d never shot a firearm at another human.

    Protecting community/property isn't hero worshiping.

Also this isn't a white/black thing. This is a thug thing. Thugs come in all shapes/sizes/races

The rioters were causing the agitation. I guess Rittenhouse showed the mob what happens when their agitation becomes iolent.

You're right I would never shoot another human being unless I felt my life was in danger. At that point I would have no issues at all protecting my family or myself.

Kyle Rittenhouse's motivations for being there have racist implications. At 17, he was knee deep in political propaganda with strong opinions on Trump, BLM etc that he probably got from right wing online outlets on 8chan, Facebook, YouTube etc. He wasn't merely there to protect businesses. He was there because his perceived ideological enemies were there.

Ask yourself in a hypothetical situation such as the Bundy Standoff where conservative right wing activists had literal standoffs with law enforcement where they were literally aiming firearms at officers, would Rittenhouse rush in to aid those federal officers? No. Because those people are on his ideological side.

So his motivations for being there wasn't because of some false pretense to "protect businesses". Sure, he's going to say that publicly now to save face. He was there because of political ideology.

People not only have the right to protect themselves regardless of age/education.

    Do you not believe this?

As far as the Trump stuff, I didn't see Trump supporters rioting/looting/killing people.

And you would have none of my sympathy if you play vigilante and actively go to a riot or protest larping up in "combat gear" seeing yourself as some protector and end up being attacked by said rioters because you put yourself in that situation because you got brainwashed by right wing culture wars bs.

I love fools like you who have delusions of grandeur Of what you would do in a high stress environment. How many daydreams of shootouts and being the hero do you have per week?

1st of all, you dont know this. It just fits your agenda.

2nfd of all, even if he was a Trump supporter he had the right to walk that street and the right to defend himself.

I never said anything like this.

To be clear, what I said was, if I felt my family or my life was being threatened I wouldn't have any issues shooting another human being. I wouldn't want your sympathies nor would I expect them. I expect to be able to walk the streets freely because it's just as much my right as it is the rioters. Do you think I have 1 ounce of sympathy for those dead rioters? Nope. Do I hae sympathy for their families? Yes

Right wing violence comes in the form of mass murder, not property damage. See Christ church shooting or El Paso Walmart shootings. Like holy ****, the Christ Church mass murder was live streamed by the murderer on 8 chan with hundreds of 8 chan users, 99 percent probably nut to Trump constantly, getting all giddy and exited and egging on the murderer while watching it live.
