True the USSC could do that but that would be such an abandonment of actual text I'm not sure how they would justify it. I agree chances are a lower court will rule and the USSC won't touch it.
It's not about whether you think PV are credible journalists. PV's communications with their own lawyers are being seized by the FBI, then leaked to the NYT by the FBI, and then the NYT is publishing them. This is Secret Police type stuff.
Non-citizens have access to the courts and at least here in Texas, use the courts to bring lawsuits for negligence all the time. That's not really the issue. The issue is sovereign immunity. The concept that the government has immunity from lawsuits unless it chooses to allow itself to be sued or has carved out statutory exceptions. These aliens are suing the federal government. Statutory exceptions may apply here. I just don't know.
We have inflation because business laid off millions and production dropped precipitously during the Pandemic. Then they have to hire everyone back and play catch up. But there are 3 problems exacerbating this. 1) more than ever our manufactured goods are made via slave wages in Asia but they were slowed by the Pandemic as well and are trying to catch up. Nothing is made in America anymore so now you are seeing all the ships stuck at ports instead of domestic manufacturers delivering in the US. Result of trouble filling demand = rising prices 2) The Pandemic opened a lot of peoples eyes of why the hell am I working this **** job for **** wages and they left or retired. Result of less workers is trouble filling demand = rising prices. 3) Most of us saved a lot of money during the Pandemic by not going out plus yeah Trump and Biden helicopter $. Now you have pent up demand and extra cash. Result of more demand = rising prices. I believe it’s transitory because it’s basic economics. When there is demand supply will rise to fill it because there is money to be made. We need new market entrants and to produce more domestically.
It's so sad that for conservatives in this country, it's as simple as "mOnEy SuPly". Occam's razor suggests it has pretty much everything to do with the supply chain and the drastic increase in demand after lockdowns ended. Anyone working in any aspect of manufacturing right now would agree with me because you literally see it with late shipment deliveries constantly with esse trial parts we need.
Occam's razor suggests if the money supply increases, the purchasing power of each dollar declines, and prices rise
Except you have been saying that since 2008 and inflation never happened until there was a pandemic that resulted in mass supply and labor disruptions. So which makes more sense for sudden inflation: the thing that's been happening for 12 years or the thing that started right around the time the sudden inflation did?
Speaking of 2008, this reminds me when Michael Burrys partners and investors wanted him to cut his losses on his 'big short'. Inflation has been a slow burn at the expense of the rest of the world....until the pandemic. A bridge too far
Boggles the mind how liberals can look at the destruction in the past 10 months and keep excusing it.
The world is GREAT without orange and lots of sore losing for repugs..It's been a year. Biden is your daddy. Maybe you will get over it one day OWNED
How inept you are. You are the type that will kill this Country based on supposed morals. You don't recall Carter and how bad it was. You child.
That's a good point and I will admit to being out of my depth regarding Sovereign Immunity. My main point was that rights cannot be denied on the basis of immigration status.
