There's no chance that happens. We couldn't get Brown for Harden

New regime in Boston so anything is possible. Morey's no longer dealing with Danny Ainge.

GMs make questionable moves all the time, especially when current reality don't meet pre-season expectations.

I don't think it has anything to being stupid rather than with fit. Ben Simmons with Jason Tatum will probably be a good fit. One of the issues that Marcus Smart talked about last time is the young guys not passing the ball. Maybe they need a creator rather than another wing. Granted, Philadelphia will probably have to throw in a 1st pick plus some young talent, but it is not out of the realm of a Brown/Simmons trade. Brown isn't thaaaat good either. He will make a couple of all star teams some day, but certainly will always be 2nd, 3rd wheel talent. Those kind of guys are not always on the "DO NOT TRADE" list.

I agree with most of this. Jaylen Brown is very good NBA player and all-star level, though I wouldn't say he is on the "Do Not Trade" list. It depends on whole else is involved or a higher-tier player, like Harden is in the equation.

For Ben Simmons, though, I do not think I'd make that trade, if I am the Celtics unless filler and picks are coming as well, because Ben hasn't necessarily shown he's capable of being 2nd wheel talent, perhaps 3rd wheel, especially the playoffs. Especially, when the Celtics would take a hit in scoring with Simmons. The Celtics would need another go-to scoring option, if they lose Brown. Also, how would Ben alone, improve the team's morale, if he already a low morale, by himself.

It would help Philly, more if they got Jaylen, because he's higher caliber offensive player and they certainly probably get to ECF or Finals, last year, and win if Brown is healthy.

His 'mental health' issues will evaporate over night.

Surely there is not a single person gullible enough to believe Ben Simmons is going through mental health issues.

Being a little b*tch is not a mental health issue.

Embiid out on COVID protocols. Should get more interesting with Tobias, Embiid, and Simmons out.

Yea the Rockets connection is really strong in this one:

Paul drew a contrast between the situation with Simmons and that of Rockets guard John Wall, another of his clients, who is being paid by Houston while sitting out the season, even though he is healthy enough to play. “John is able to play, but Houston is OK using the (Collective Bargaining Agreement) to pay him not to play,” Paul said. “So which way is it? John is perfectly healthy and ready to play, and it’s OK in the CBA. We are being professional with both instances, but how can it go both ways? John and the Rockets have been professional about their situation, and we are also expecting the same with the 76ers.”

That's really rich, Rich! Let's have all the players take unlimited vacations by simply claiming mental health and not having to do something about said claim until they "feel" like coming back. CBA allows it!
