You are going to call him "super immature" because of that one scream?

Come on. This is getting ridiculous. He has never had off the court complaints and every coaching staff that has delt with him praised him as one of those "first in and last out" practice type guys.

He's 20 but they are like 6 months apart so it isn't that much of a age gap. Cade seems to be a more even keeled kind of guy and Green seems to show his emotions more and that's okay.

If his emotions effected him off the court, it would be a problem but everyone says he's a good kid.

That's a big part of the problem on the team, guys like Green and Wood are just out for themselves and their own individual accomplishments, they don't even pretend to care about the best interest of the team.

When Cade would score, we (and everyone on both teams) knew for a fact that if Green touched the ball, he wasn't going to pass. He was going to force something up, no matter how terrible a look he got because it was all about him trying to say he out-scored Cade. He didn't care that his selfish chucking hurt the team and contributed to the loss.

Wood has moments like that too, where he just ignores everyone else and takes an ill advised shot just to try and pad his numbers.

When you have fundamentally selfish players like that, you need strong leadership from the head coach to keep them in check and the Rockets basically don't have a head coach at all.

Talk about nitpicking. For years, Clutchfans wanted Yao to show some emotion/scream and just dunk the ball and we praised him when he did. But now its immature for a rookie to do it? Whatever gets himself to be motivated and prove he's better is all good to me.

It’s not even about Green honestly. They’re all just tired of losing and taking it out on him. If we won the game this thread would be all hype lol. Even if we lost but had a like 6-5 record nobody would be complaining about this.

It's crazy. They can only b**** about his "bad behavior". Yesterday we all saw some really promising things that these same people b****ed about such as actually finishing at the rim and navigating in the paint around multiple defenders without having the ball stripped. He even had less turnovers than Cade. He'll Cade had more turnovers than assists and Green had more assists than turnovers and Green can get.to the line better than Cade.

Cade had clean looks in the 4th that Jalen never got.

Yao is Asian so if he shows emotions it's a good thing. Jalen is Black. If he shows emotions, he's immature.

Losing is good for the future since the team currently lacks any franchise caliber players, what isn't good for the team is having the #2 pick in the draft being a mindless chucker all game long and do something as stupid as over the top taunting after an uncontested dunk in a game you are losing that gifts the other team an extra point.

The reason Green is catching flack for his actions is because they were immature and stupid.

This thread is a goldmine for my ignore list.

    Pure stupidity on full display.

EVERY.SINGLE.PLAYER does what Green did. NO.ONE.EVER was called immature because of it.

What has he done that is "immature" in your eyes besides screaming after a dunk?

And you.seem like a box score watcher. Green isn't the type of player that has the ball stick with him. He barely.holds on to the ball and makes quick decisions between shooting or passing. Most of his shots are either within the flow or dump offs with seconds left on the shot clock where he had to shoot.

The vast majority of "bad shot selection" you see with Green is due to no offensive system at all.

The irony is that Cade intentionally looked for his shot whenever Jalen scored as well. But they swear it was all one sided and Cade is the adult in the situation lol.

It was the best game Green had in a while and their complaining. He showed flashes and signs of his high potential and that’s exactly what we’re looking for this year. He also showed he’s willing to stand on his words and back up his talk. Which is also a sign of maturity.

Well, being a mindless chucker all game long, thinking that it was a one on one game vs Cade was pretty immature. In fact, every time Cade scored, everyone in the building knew that the next time Green touched the ball, he wasn't even going to consider passing no matter what happened.....something Cade took advantage of by drawing a charge on him.

I know, you are overly protective of your adopted son, and as a result you can't view the game rationally. It's fine, I don't expect that of you.

My comments are really intended for Rockets fans, not Jalen Green fans.

Cade ahead almost the same amount of shot attempts as Green with double the turnovers. Green had to heave a couple of shots at the end of the shot clock due to poor offense breaking down and having the ball dumped to him with little on the shot clock.

Sure, but that's implying our team/coach isn't complete garbage. Is it Green's fault that KPJ has regressed this year? Is it Green's fault his teammates dump the ball to him with 3 seconds left REPEATEDLY in the 4th? Is it Green's fault that Silas refuses to run any set plays? It's hilarious to me when people who are box score watching instead of watching the actual game is talking crap about our 19yr old rookie. They lose all creditibility when they blame this loss on Jalen Green. I don't care if our player is humble or not. Their job is to play well and perform. Believe it or not, the best players in the NBA are anything but humble.

He drew one charge on a play Green SHOULD have taken it to the paint because he had a good lane to drive. Cade's heel was even on the paint circle which JVG pointed out so it should have been a blocking foul.

Cade had double the turnovers and similar amount of shot attempts. And Green shot attempt numbers are decieving because of the end of 4th quarter heaves with little on the shot clock left.

If you watch Green play, he isn't a ball sticker. The most he has the ball in a possession is 5 seconds or so before he decides to shoot or pass.

If you think that play was “stupid and immature” I’m sure you’ve never dunked a basketball in your life let alone in a live game lol.

You specifically don’t like Green and go out your way to make it known. So I’ll take your words with a grain of salt.

Yup. Anyone with a brain who watches our games know that Green is not a black hole on the offensive end. Sure there are times he should've passed to his teammates, but he is always looking to pass if he doesn't think he can score. We severely need a competent PG

Damn such a weird coincidence that the crowd who dislikes this play is the same crowd that hates on Jalen Green in every other thread.
