Great stats! Will be interested to see these updates every few weeks.

Worth noting that this is within the confines of their current offensive system, whatever it is lol. Like for example, i wonder how all the stats would change if yo bifurcated them between time Alpi is on the court vs off... because when he's on its almost like they run a different offense with lots of him in the high post

Regarding the dribbles... well i guess the main thing i don't like is when Porter goes into his and-1 bag.

Silas is about as much an offensive genius as he is a defensive genius.

    "Ball."
"Dribble ball. Pass ball. Shoot ball at..basket."
    "Basket."
"When them have ball.....keep them from basket."
    "Uh, Coach, couldjoo repeat that?"
    (sigh) "God.......damn. OK. This..........ball."

I had serious questions about Silas last year but I have been impressed with how competitive the team is this year.

    https://www.houstonchronicle.com/te...eed-How-Jalen-Green-learned-from-16597902.php

For Curry, as he prepares to face Green with the Rockets on Sunday for the first time, there is an added satisfaction in knowing that he helped a player that would end up playing for Silas. Silas was not just a Warriors assistant when Curry was a rookie in 2009-10, they worked and studied together.

They have remained close to the point that Curry wanted the Warriors to bring Silas back when Silas became a lead assistant with the Mavericks in 2018.

“It’s so cool,” Curry said. “Coach Silas, I watched film with him every day for a year-and-a-half until he went to Charlotte and joined his pops there. Really understand his approach to the game. He’s super humble, super knowledgeable about the game. He has a great way of communicating. He can relate to pretty much anybody. Hopefully, he connects with Jalen right away and Jalen understands that coach Silas wants you to be successful.

“I love Stephen. I love everything about him. I know Jalen is in a great spot, trying to build something special.”

Curry said he would “for sure” be pleased if Green and Silas make one another a success with the Rockets, “just not at the cost of us.”

Is Silas perhaps on the hot seat right now so curry is trying to save him?

Too many injuries to have a system. Or something like that.

I think it's best for this team if one of Green or KPJ play a 6th man spark plug role while Augustine or Wall run point.

I swear to God, this "system" is identical to the selfish bullshit play we saw from Dipo and Wall last year, it's the offense not the players. Only a very very few number of players (like Luka) could make this **** work.

We were just as terrible with a bunch of vets. The lame „we’re young“ excuse doesn’t hold much weight if u look into it.

We‘re also playing a lot of vets for the supposed „very young team“ and are still quite unsuccessful while doing so.

Wait, you're telling me the "I have a transcendent player on my roster so I'm gonna let him do whatever he wants" offense that Silas knows/loves can't work without said transcendent player? ;)

In his defense, Stephen didn't sign up for a rebuild job when he got hired. That being said, maybe this should be a time of reflection on whether or not he has the testicular fortitude to withstand any and every scenario/environment imaginable at a head coaching level. It's easy to give the ball to a Luka or Harden or LeBron and pat yourself for doing a great job coaching; it's a whole different ball game when you don't have that kind of player on your roster.

Silas HAD a transcendent player on the Rockets but let Wall dominate the ball and had Harden playing as off ball catch and shooter.

Same thing hes doing with Wood now.

Put 20/10 player on 3 point line and run PnR with Theis instead.

    Genius.

I'm usually pretty neutral on Silas, as he seems like a cool guy and someone who deserved the chance to be a head coach but I very much disliked his rotations today.

Why on earth is KJ still behind House in the depth chart?

KJ has been proving himself all year. And the offense was absolutely **** to close out the game (only reason it was close is because we have more talent and almost eked out a comeback)

If Silas does well I'd be the first to praise him but this game was one for the toilet

To be fair, atleast Theis sets half decent screens while Wood's screens are practically useless because he slips every single time.

But it's true, you might aswell bench Wood if he's not a part of the offense. You're not having him in there for defensive purposes.
