Wood took the donut. 0 block shots and 0 steals translates to, I play defense when I want to.

 

Wood's main issue (like Porters tonight at times) is he's playing for himself and getting mad when things don't go his way. He's a very skilful player, but his screening at times is very half-assed so he can slip and ensure he's the only option, it ruins that PnR play as many times as it works because it's so easy to project. If he just played team ball he'd have better numbers anyway because the offense would be easier for everybody but he doesn't play like a smart player. Nobody else has IQ like Sengun, but I do think Green shows more on that front than either Wood or KPJ.

 

Actually theis and sengun are best box outers of this team .as statwise i do not now exact numbers but we need to look at the rebs taken from other players by their box outs.

 

Am I the only one who’s been impressed by Cade’s defense as a rookie? Watching him from his 1st game until now, he genuinely looks like he can be a plus defender

 

Because every time they get a half decent player he leaves.

 

He’s a great defender
If he starts hitting his shots he’s going to be a problem
If he can run point while doing that he’s an all star PG

 

Tonight I saw two rookies...one doing what was needed and playing as a teammate for the win, and the other rookie playing for a personal yearly award.

It's really frustrating. The kid has talent, but can't seem to keep himself under control.

 

Maybe, maybe not.

 

Good individual plays here and there (green) but I think I am joining the Silas is in over head’ camp.

 

Cade was definitely the better player tonight. I am glad that Green is showing a little better decision making and is being aggressive going to the rim without being quite as stupid. I have been a big supporter of Porter, but tonight I was disgusted by his not getting back on defense so often. He is also losing his composure. If we had a decent coach these problems our young team are experiencing could get straightened out in the second half, but Silas looks totally lost to me. I guess we’re stuck with him for the whole year.

Players out for themselves only is kind of a big problem with the team. It's noticeable in just about everyone. Wood, Green, Tate, Gordon.

It's not a team, just a collection of individuals. IMO that's the biggest sign that the team needs a new coach and several roster moves.

He has a teammate who can score without him getting the ball to him. Jalen has no one with 35 points this year on his team especially one that can create his own shots lol. Cade wasnt even a point guard he can just play his game. When you evaluate rookies especially ones in different positions you have to also look at their situations.
