I still play LoL here and there whereas my wife knows nothing about it and we both enjoyed the first 3 episodes a lot.
Looks great. Netflix killing it on gobbling up the nerd IPs. The only things I know about LoL are that it’s a huge esports game and if you ever meet anyone who plays it, they will recruit you relentlessly. Forever.
I have never played LoL, but this animation looks fantastic. If more cgi action looked like this, I would watch more cgi stuff. I'm still only on episode 1 but it looks great, im waiting for the action.
Play LoL but stick to ARAM so the 11 year olds don’t yell at me. I’m really digging this animated series… never looked into any of the lore behind the characters although I don’t think it matches neatly with the story. Great animation, good story, and good voice acting. Can’t wait for the rest of the season.
There is a lot of entertainment value in game intellectual properties and lore. The Witcher is a great example; awesome game based on some awesome books and now a great TV show. I've also read some fantastic books based on the Warhammer 40k universe and the D&D universes.
This show was really great. I never played LoL, but the storytelling, artwork, and music are top notch.
Cliffhanger for season 2, that's painful, but I get it. I think with this reception there is no doubt there's going to be a season 2. Hopefully sometime relatively soon we see a Valorant version.... although the lore isn't nearly fleshed out enough to attempt that yet for now.
Animation was fantastic. Everything CGI needs to be just like this. I liked it. Mel is a baddie. worst thing about this show was the imagine dragons intro. we insta skipping that.
Slowly working my way through this with my oldest. The art in this is top shelf, up there with Into the Spiderverse and Miyazaki films.
