Of course I do........ look at what actually happened in the article and what the quotes were and see how they were framed.

For example what did Lucas say about Porter? He said that Porter doesn't go to the early practice even though he thinks he should. He said he doesn't make Porter go because it is his third season. He also said that Porter is moody and that he sizes up the mood of Porter before he decides how he is going to coach him - he is treating him with kid gloves..... Lucas also said that the team isn't very good. It isn't rocket science..... the writer (who happens to have known and been friendly with Tilman for over two decades) decided to spin the article in a positive light.... and that is why posters are calling it a fluff article...

Seems like they are still babying Porter Jr a lot. They have to watch his moods and whatnot before they make him do stuff.

Yeah some of the KPJ stuff was less than encouraging. If we're supposed to treat him with kid gloves like he's a rookie ("he's only been a PG for 30 games!!!") then he should at least be working as hard as rookie Jalen Green.

It makes me hopeful for Green that whatever shortcomings he has he will improve. Seems like he has a great head on his shoulders and knows he needs to put in a lot of work.

Kinda concerned about KPJ and Lucas still trying to navigate through KPJ's mental issues with caution.

Porter's journey reminds me a bit of a young Kyle Lowry in that they both had/have attitude issues coming into the league. I just hope KPJ similarly learns more effective outlets for his frustrations and doesn't lean into the malcontent. There are times in the games where you can tell very obviously that he is in his own head and has poor body language. He has to find a better way to channel that similar to Lowry.

Yeah, that worried me too. I hope Porter overcomes it, but the amount of pressure that goes with improving as an NBA player - let alone a potential star/leader of a team, is a lot for anyone to handle - let alone someone who is also trying to overcome personal demons. Seems like a very precarious situation for the team to manage. I wouldn't be totally shocked if they are low key shopping KPJ just given the amount of impressionable young talent on the roster and the fact that losing a lot might add to KPJ's struggles to maintain.

Probably because he spends too much time here and probably is lashing out his anger at posters who hype Green up at Green himself.

Bargain bin coach and assistant. I love Lucas but he should be more supplemental and not lead assistant. Silas is a clown. He needs to be more cognizant of what he says to the media, even if management has privately told him it's ok to lose. These comments excusing turnovers and losing gets back to the players and he just comes off way too passive about the situation.

I can only imagine what it would look like with someone like JVG coaching this team. He'd probably pull out the small amounts of remaining hair he has left.

    exactly.

For the most part I’ve been entertained this season.

I think sometimes people lose sight that this is all entertainment anyways.

I haven't ever heard anyone around Green say that he doesn't work hard or handle himself as a professional.

I recently watched his GQ interview and he came across as a good guy but still very much a kid. That isn't a knock on him, a few people are men at 18-19 but not very many - and it doesn't mean he won't be a mental warrior - just that we need to remember he is still mentally and physically young.

When I looked at a lot of tape on Green and looked at game footage before the draft it was clear to me that Green was the one that was actually quite raw, and not Cunningham or Mobley or Barnes. Green has and had some mechanical issues with his shot, he lacks a clean handle and hadn't learned switching of how to come off a screen well. That was a bit surprising to me, as someone with his pedigree should know how to do those things but the good news is that they are all fixable.

Overall the start to the rookie season hasn't been good for Green. However he has shown an aptitude for court awareness and where players are around him. That is something that cannot be taught and that was a question mark going into the season. I don't know how good his awareness will be but he isn't Zach LeVine, he will be a good enough passer to set up his teammates. Also, Green's athleticism is better than I thought. I knew he was the best athlete in his class, but he is arguably the best athlete in the NBA. He easily gets his head even with the rim, he has a really strong burst in a straight line and he can hang in the air. He also has very quick hands and good dexterity in his hands. That lends himself to being able to operate at a high/elite level as a scorer and possibly as a passer if he continues to develop.

If the draft were held tomorrow I think that Green wouldn't go #2, I think that Barnes and Mobley would go 1-2 and that Cunningham and Green would go 3-4, mostly because of the defensive ability of Barnes and Mobley. However, other than poor shooting, I haven't seen anything that leads me to believe that Green's ceiling is lower, if anything I think Green's vision has erased a concern I had. Green has a lot to work on, and maybe it doesn't happen, but the potential to be an elite scorer in the league is there and the playmaking should be good enough to be a franchise player IF he continues to develop. Also the situation Green is in on the Rockets is far from ideal and that needs to be taken into consideration.

Not going to lie, in the article where it was talking about arriving early for shoot around I was a little disappointed that KPJ’s attendance was described as “sporadic”.
