The last thread ran its course a while back, but now that he can't be traded until the offseason (March 16, 2022) I thought it prudent to begin a new thread with a little different spin.

Now we're looking at and discussing teams in need of DW (based on how their 2021 season finishes), who has the kind of draft capital attractive to us, if DW will open up his no trade teams, who can build the best package, and if the legal issues will be resolved so that we can get a deal done.

I've listed teams that we know are interested and a few that should be. There maybe others that develop. As you consider the poll, think about draft capital and potential building block players we could get from them.

I used this Mock Draft as my moment in time realizing we're close to the midway point of the season... https://elitesportsny.com/2021/11/06/esnys-2022-nfl-mock-draft-3-round-week-nine-edition/

I didn't add specific players to the poll, because I'd like that to be part of the discussion on why you prefer a certain team's package.

I didn't include a few teams, but provided an other and allowed you to choose your Top 3. I realize for this to make sense Watson will need to expand his preferred destinations, but I have to think that could be a possibility given how bad the Phins are this year.

Final thought, I think we would all love the Philly package because that could expedite the rebuild. It is definitely one of my Top 3 choices, but I doubt Philly would be on an expanded DW list. If I had to guess, if Cas said give me 5 teams you're willing to go to, then I think these may be close to what he would select: MIA, CAR, ATL, NO and ??

My picks are based on what's best for our team and not necessarily what I think will happen.
#1: PHI has the best draft capital and expedites our talent acquisition. Two players I'd want Dallas Goedert/TE and Landon Dickerson/IOL; gives us two very good young building blocks in areas of need.
#2: CAR: I think they could make the biggest push in the off-season because of their owner. Three of these guys would be a big boost to our team--Jaycee Horn/CB, Jeremy Chinn/S, Derrick Brown/DT, Brian Burns/DE and DJ Moore/WR.
#3: ATL would seem to be a logical team for DW to approve. Their package is ok, but if we could get AJ Terrell/CB and/or Chris Lindstrom in the package those guys would be key parts of improving our team/talent.

    Thoughts?

    1) Carolina
    2) Phila
    3) WFT

The first 2 for reason you already stated and WFT because I could see all 3 draft picks being top 10. Another poorly run franchise.

Are we still pretending he doesn't have a no trade clause?

No, but at some point Caserio has to force his hand or potentially he realizes that another place may be better for massages.

    No to Philly.
    No to hurts
Don’t want 3 1st all in same draft

Unless we trade down and get more future picks.

    Carolina 3 1st
    Burns
    Chin
    Taylor

Reports have already stated that the Texans love the panthers young defensive players.

What is wrong with 3 top 10 picks in the same draft? Sounds great to me.

    This!!

I don't know what people don't get BUT DW4 determines where he goes! And it's Miami or nowhere.

Maybe he'll waive it after a few years out of the league.

No need to overly worry about his consent when he's never concerned with that kind of thing.

Idk y people magically believe Texans have the upper hand against Watson in this trade situation.
Man has a guarantee contract and a no trade clause. Either we bend over and get trade raped to get rid of Watson to the team he wants or we let his contact runs out and get nothing. Either way 9ur franchise is the new shthole franchise alongside the lions, jets, and other poorly run franchise.

Yes and no. DW4 determines where he'd like to go but he obviously can't force Miami to make a deal. There is a slight possibility that Miami says they're out in which he'd really have no choice but to open things up a bit.

I think the most likely scenario is DW4 settles the cases and Miami ponies up. But DW4 is not in absolute control of his destiny here.

Would rather have the picks spread out over time.

Gives more options for trades and more flexibility.

A few years out of the league and $50 million in his bank account.

That's fine, I prefer that to him immediately being allowed to continue his career and being a new contact elsewhere for even more money.

    In the slammer hopefully.

Predators don't need to be unleashed on society.
