I never understand the appeal of events like this, EDC and other 'loud music' festivals. Even in pre-Covid days, it's loud, expensive, packed with people, bathrooms are gross, etc. Maybe it's the introvert in me talking, but 0% of events like this are worth it.
Tragic. He was banned from Lollapalooza in 2015 for inciting a riot. How has this not been taken down?
Guarantee the purchase of the tickets has language protecting individuals from liability. Read the fine print.
Nah I'm with yah bro. I already have CDs and vinyls so I'm good. Just me the rats at home bumping to the oldies.
What in the fck? I was thinking, fire, shooting But... OD's? Fights/cheap shots/trampled in the crowd? Why would 8 young people fall dead? That's terrifying Just curious I looked up Coachella deaths (which has over double the attendance) ... and it's nothing like this at all, seems like only a handful of total deaths in the history of the event. This is disgusting
security acting like thugs and assaulting attendees- thats a real bad sign that this was going to get out of control. it reminds me so much of the stone infamous gig at altamont where hells angels were beating the crap out of audience and even musicians...then they stabbed that guy. they probably should have stopped the show, but at least mick had the sense to slow down the set and implored everyone to back up to create space. travis scott did the opposite...he sees an EMS vehicle coming into the crowd and starts a song saying "i want to feel the motherf***ing ground shaking". https://www.tiktok.com/@tizzyent/vi...5655768090117&is_from_webapp=v1&is_copy_url=0
the scene of my first concert - richard marx and wilson phillips. lots of people might say it dont mean nothing, but its a memory i will always hold on to for one more day.
Man, it's like you've been right here waiting through endless summer nights for someone to finally setup this post. Hope you're satisfied.
I've always been the same way about these things -- even as a kid. I always thought I'd rather listen to a good CD than listen to most-of-the-time crappy live audio. And if I want to hang out with friends, we'd shoot hoops, go out to eat together or just hang out somewhere. I saw this news last night on BBC and thought about posting a thread, but damn, this country is depressing enough, so I just logged off and went to bed.
I was about to type "should've known better", but of course, you beat me to it before the end of the sentence. This forum is so corny, but I ... keep coming back.
