Playing “5 out” a traditional center doesn’t work at all. Maybe, just maybe some structural changes are coming. give time, time…
I get your point but those were and are exceptional defenders and don't forget each of those players, played next to a 7' ft PF; KD, Rasheed Wallace and others.
I think the problem is that our “young bigs” while talented are not big enough. We all like them, but they are too small to hang with true bigs like Antonio Davis and DeAndre Ayton. This team believes that you can role Theis and Sengun out nightly against guys like Jokic and Embid and that just doesn’t work. Sengun is fine as a backup Center or starting PF. Theis is fine as a backup Center only. Let’s not all act like this short stuff just began….its been going on for a while with this team and needs to change as fans are tired of watching opposing teams play volleyball against us when near the rims.

1 1000% correct! I know our bigs are young but they will never matchup to the bigger players in the league as you discibed and that's what my concerns are. It started under Morey and it seems the trend is continuing under Stone. Like I said, I love Sengun's game but he will get abused in a 7 game series in the playoffs if he had to play Center and that's how we need to start thinking... .LONG TERM! Thies should have never been signed. While a good defender, he's not great and to me that's what is hurting the Rockets....NO LOW POST DEFENDER
