Kevin Porter Jr. not only leads the league in turnovers but he has the worst assist to turnover ratio of anyone in the top ten for turnovers and one of the lowest usage rates. So you cant even use the excuse that its because he handles the ball so much. His usuage rate is only 23% so he leads the league in turnovers while being out of the top 75 in usage rate. The closest person to KPJ for being a person with low assists and high turnovers it Paul George who is turning it over 4 times a game but he isnt expected to pass as much because he's not a point guard. PG13 also has a usuage rate of 33%. Russell Westbrook is the second worst among point guards with turnovers at 4.8 but he atleast is giving you 8 assists per game and has a usage rate of 28%. KPJ averages 5 apg. Westbrook is one of the worst ballhandling low IQ "point guards" ive ever seen in my life and KPJ makes him look like Chris Paul lol
Begging? Green would be a better option than KPJ clearly. We also dont know what Green can do to be honest. But no thats not ideal. Green has shown he has a better vision than KPJ but is still a rookie trying to find his way. Funny you read my post and decided to make your reply about Green. You also read that post and how historically bad KPJ is at point and thought you could somehow shame me for wanting Green to be pg, huge logical fail there lol Anyway, I would rather kpj play the 3 and concentrate on scoring and defense and us find a better solution through trade for point guard or bring Wall back and trade him. Im not sure where you saw me begging. I remember beggin you to take your ass to the Cavs forum since youre a Mobley nut hugger lol. Also the only case you have is of the nut variety.
Clearly better PG than KPJ? Oh lordy! Oh, and you can keep begging. I was here WAY before you and I aim to stay.
I said better vision learn to read. You've been here longer? ooh I guess that means you have rank over me Im intimidated sorry admiral didnt know who I was speaking to LMAO Get the **** outta here lol
You're the one who started posting about Jalen maybe you should take your own advice. I'm out this is getting a bit too homoerotic for my liking lol
Agreed. He's a talented player but I just can't see him being the fit at PG. I dont agree with taking away what he's naturally great at and making him a lesser version of himself. Problem is there's a more talented player on the team that does the same thing. I'd love KPJ off the bench but I can't see Silas doing that or KPJ accepting that.
This is all facts. It's pretty good advice for Green too in all honesty. Both guys do a lot better when they're aggressive. Porter especially though, if he's going to play the point he'll be way more effective as a scoring point who collapses the D than a Paul/Nash style pass player. It'll be a knock on effect of he scores, teams start to double him or help more, other guys are open and then they score too. You don't have to be Harden to make that strategy work, plenty of guys do it. As long as we have other players giving him screens and good off-ball movement so he has options he should be fine. The last thing we need is to actually go the final years D'antoni/Harden strategy though where it's all on him to play hero ball and the other 4 dudes just kinda stood out of the way. Only Harden can make that anything remotely resembling a successful offense haha.
for me it's still the same. he will be as good as HE wants to be. He just needs to shoot more and pass less. Also probably not the best fit with Wood. I'd like to see him minutes with him not playing with Wood.
Porter and Wood have not had a lot of time playing together. Especially with Wood playing 5 instead of 4. Patience.
Scoot is having a hard time diagnosing and with that he’s rushing some things. He needs to slow it down a little. He is playing a little hyper and finds himself in bad spots picking up his dribble or off his feet passing last minute. He should study film and see that he’s best when attacking the paint as a scorer first. It will in turn open up the passing lanes when they try to stop him. He’s running into the paint looking to pass in a congested space. He’s shooting the ball well and his defense is looking better each week. I’m still optimistic it can work out still too early. Give these guys a month or two. Let them build some chemistry. You can see them growing a little bit each game.
he has regressed big time…easily the worst starting PG in the league an incredibly sorry team like the Rockets is the only type of team he’d get minutes on
