I’ll let you look at that thread It’s like trying to track the dollar bills Harden dropped at a stripclub @Jontro
When suddenly republicans care about the mental faculties of aging Americans... Too bad she didn't show such concern when the previous 70 + year old president sat in the Oval office. Oh yea, that one was from her own party. And oh yea, she served in that president's administration. But perhaps she is onto something... let's test all 70 years olds. Nothing ageist about that? Heck, she is 50 now... let's start at 50 years old. And while we are at it, let's test all elected officials on things like the U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights, and what the heck, lets get crazy here, the Bible.
I looked at the thread. It seems like posters here either agreed that there wasn't a big deal, understood it was comedy, thought most LGBTQ folks probably weren't worried about Dave Chappelle. A few posts talked about why they didn't like the way it was done but didn't seem worked up about it in the slightest. It was because I looked over the thread that I asked which ones you felt were triggered.
Because Democrats are never happy and there are always things the Government "needs to fix". Republicans on the other hand think everything was better before and wants to stall any change or go back to their romanticized memory of "the way it used to be"
Ehhh not really. Get rid of the stupid labels. Any given thought can often be divided by a 'new idea' or progressive vs conservative/traditional/play it safe. Many progressive ideas are often terrible just like many traditional ideas are outdated. Apply enough influence from large organizations such as the Republican and Democrat party can lead to mass confusion of contradictories, red herrings, back tracking and just general ignorance. This forum is a non-stop example of this since '99.
That ignores major concerns. We have a housing problem, a border problem, an infrastructure problem, a healthcare problem, an inflation problem, all while having massive deficits year after year. These things aren't the Democrats fault, but they are problems that exist. Of course what is the #1 issue for most people I know right now? Gas prices.
We should be glad it’s easy to find jobs at Amazon or Wendy’s right now .. indeed meanwhile the price of a base mode F150 in 2017 went from $27k it’s now $47k if you can find it. We see law breaker families crossing the border hitting the lottery being offered a chance to be millionaires at tax payer expense without regard for their vaccine status while legal residents are likely to lose jobs if they don’t get the vaccine never mind any health or religious based issues …Nothing unfair there I’m sure..then good luck spending a small fortune filling up your vehicle…Good luck finding your favorite chips at Walmart…Good luck if your central hvac breaks down …Good luck with garbage pickup service..it can go on and on with supply chain issues but the Dow looks slightly rosy ? Lmao with families having difficulty with food shortages on shelves or the steep rising costs at the moment no one cares about it
may be that is the master stroke of Nikki and other potential presidential candidates on republican side to get back into the race sidelining Trump
Oh, gosh yes. The infrastructure problem should be front and center and is being debated in congress. By healthcare I am guessing you mean COVID-19 and there is the possibility of good news on a Pfizer pill (which should be good news for everyone, including the anti-vaxxers). I think congress is also trying to address prescription costs as well. Inflation? Gas prices? Milk prices (heh)? Deficits? What are desired solutions?
I think he means healthcare problem as in the ever growing trend of unaffordable premiums and deductibles and just random ass charges for merely visiting a doctor and the relative amount of citizens compared to other countries that don't have any health insurance at all.
Compared the Rs who running with CRT, Stop the Steal, Election Fraud, Covid is a Hoax, Kill Grandma Now, etc
The real issue is that the Rs are an order of magnitude better at developing and staying on message. The R messages are usually complete and total nonsense, but if you say enough ("we are ruining 2nd graders by teaching them CTR 24x7") voters start to believe the nonsense is facts.
