1 I like that hes able to hit the 3s, but imho priority should be to work on finishing around the rim...the missed layups are momentum swinging plays... 2 he tried that fancy pass again and it didnt worked again... 3 he needs to learn the value of a single possession... one bad decision can swing the momentum of the game...
When I was watching scouting reports leading up to the draft they questioned his lateral quickness. But he really does a pretty solid job of guarding smaller players on the perimeter.
He has done a better job of defending smaller players than bigger longer centers. Ayton kind out length and muscled him all night long. Sengun was having trouble getting shot off, or fronting Ayton on defense.
He is getting better each game and he is really a team player, not worried about him he should be a STAR. But he needs to play with another BIG: Mo Bamba He needs to come back to TEXAS!!!
He knows where to be and when to have his hands out. I think he will get faster as he works on his NBA body but I think he will always be limited laterally. He just knows how to play within a team offensively and defensively.
He had some good moments but overall bad game defensively. Whether a rook or seasoned pro, there will be bad games. Need to keep feeding him starter's minutes to improve, just like Green. Although this does not necessarily mean he should start. Silas has to figure out better rotations and adjust those rotations when needed.
Still see a lot of hesitations, once he is comfortable with his teammates and confident with his shots, he will be a great all around player to have for this team. and few fouls can go either way, once he established himself in the league, those calls should be either no calls.
