I don't appreciate the efforts to minimize Sussman's indictment. The insinuation that there was perhaps monetary communications between the Trump Org and Alpha Bank was holding out a promise of making the Russian conspiracy a literal and overt relationship between the two parties to buy the American presidency, and the theory was augmented by the Clinton Campaign. If the communications with Alpha were mundane, but Clinton and Sussman didn't know any better, fine. But, if they knew those pings were not meaningful but served it up as scandal for electoral advantage anyway, we need to have all that out in the open and understood. Fabricating scandal is standard practice now in national politics, but insinuating an overt conspiracy with a hostile power if you know it isn't true is too much (even if that hostile power was trying to get Trump elected without coordination). So we need to know if they knew it wasn't true. I don't see anything about why yet.
Reminder: A. ALOT of reporting, and the Mueller investigation found out that many of the ties to Russia were 100% true. Interesting that when the letter of intent to build Trump Tower Moscow directly with the Kremlin is brought up, or the Don Jr. meeting with Russian officials, this gets tossed aside, and it's back to Dossier, Dossier, Dossier. B. Writing a Dossier is not illegal. We have thousands of non-government investigators here in the US. What is the FBI arresting this analyst for?? Keep in mind the NYT story says clearly that Durham subpoenaed and gathered personal information on this analyst. C. Voters do not care about this. Joe Biden was not running Hillary's investigation team. D. Durham obviously was given special prosecutor statutes by Bill Barr as a method of planting himself in the Biden administration. Not one person here will disagree with that. His appointment was political and unfounded. If he finds crimes he should charge them, and those people should be held to justice. But it should also continue to remind people that if Republicans are NOT serious about governing in any way, and only care about gaming the system for power and money. Democrats aren't perfect, but at least they have some people who are working their tails off to get something done for Americans.
Or I just could use logic and reason. -He's a Russian living in the US -He has ties to the Kremlin, and also US intelligence -He had all of his personal devices and home kept documents subpoenaed FARA violation is my guess. Likely didn't register. And now he's outed as someone likely working both sides, and is a target for assasination by the Kremlin. Great work Durham.
I can't think of a more irresponsible thing to do. How about we wait for them to tell us what the charges are, and then we'll know without engaging in conspiracy theory?
With Sussman, I can see how there might be political implications if the allegation against him is right. I don't get -- if Danchenko lied to the FBI about the work he did on the Steele Dossier -- why it would even matter.
is Chuck Ross that stupid! in 2017, Putin's useful idiot was in the WH, w his crony Barr being the AG; they manipulated the Mueller report the Durham prosecution the American voters got tired of these crooks, fired them, and put someone they trust more in the WH
I'm suggesting that neither you nor the author of the tweet knows what an intelligence dossier is or how it works. It is not the purpose of a Dossier to present truth or non truth. That isn't how dossiers work or their purpose. Parts of the dossier were in fact verified to be accurate. Since it's been discussed many times on here, you can go can look it all up.
