It doesn't pay to be the responsible party. Only a few Reps voted against Trump's spending spree and they got steamrolled or primaried.

So we got a system rigged for the wealthy while these old ugly actors called politicians keep up a fake tally on the scoreboard to entertain the plebs.

"Progressives" just want a grab bag of goodies Tea Baggers or Freedom Caucuses got on their end, yet they know they can't because it doesn't fit the interests of corporations or wealthy donors.

Repubs in office are pleased as punch with their status quo of tax cuts for their rich donors who reward them. They have a few so called allies i.e. "moderate" Dems like Manchin and Sinema on the same donor train. This keeps that portion of the 99% who need help pissed that the Dems promise what they can't produce due to the Repubs and their allies Manchin, Sinema types. These folks don't turn out.

The Repubs are not punished for blocking popular social "infrastructure" programs because after all they are not hypocirites and they never promised anything but to combat the all important issues of sudden concern about deficits, "cancel culture" critical race theory" trans athletes or trans bathroom access

Frankly, I don't know what the Dems can do to regain public confidence. If they know they're cooked, it should be a bigger reason to pass whatever they want, but even multimillionaire Senators or players named Sprewell need to feed their families.

Inflation - Gov is normally bad at fixing supply chain issues. I guess some measure or redtape reduction to make domestic energy more available would be nice, but would realistically take at least half a year to take effect and would run against their climate change goals.
Jobs - Doesn't seem the biggest issue when people are quitting by choice. Ofc when the gov cheese stops flowing, maybe they'll riot for the "biz friendly" Republicans since apparently people don't like the handouts they're cashing in. This doesn't make any sense, but whatever...Economy fukd ; Elitist Dems hate poor peepl
Immigration - Somehow the win condition has shifted either to Dems fixing it or Republicans "breaking it" Trump style. They really should put in a bill but we can't even pass bills to gift everyone right now...
Environment- Similar to the win condition w/ immigration Americans want both when it comes to Dems (Reps only expected to uphold the latter) : a better environment and an excuse to be wasteful, gluttonous, and lazy. Can't we science our way into cleaner air n ****? Think Elon! Think!!

Yeah, Dem leadership to push through think tank solutioning is threadbare. Republicans are fine with the status quo "as-is" scenario and their big plays are usually flashy gestures to say they're turning back the clock by literally winding back an analog clock.

That doesn't excuse the Party that claims to have better ideas or "progressive goals". It actually sucks and they should be fired....

The Dems and their problems are completely man-made. In a short span of 10 months, they have created one problem after another and thinking Americans will go along with them. Either they are completely tone deaf or they’re just testing us to see how much we can put up with their BS.

Well, now you have the answer. If you thought last night was bad for the Dems, wait until next November, 435 congressional seats will be up for a challenge.

I predict liberals’ tears will cause flooding in DC.

Or maybe you just have no idea that there's this thing called mail in voting that gets added to the total after the same day is counted all at the same time because that is how the state election laws were written.

I swear you guys just bathe in ignorance so you can continue to feed yourself victimhood serum. You have an addiction to the right wing nanny state culture that is cultivated for you to cocoon in. You should pull yourself up by your bootstraps every once in awhile instead of playing boo hoo victimhood.

Imagine if my sales team didn't hit our revenue targets for the month, and I just instead told my CEO that the Salesforce forecast numbers were rigged, and I really did hit my numbers. The Right wing nanny state has cultivated a world where in real life it would be like my CEO just patting me on my head, and saying... you know what... you are right... lets fire our Salesforce admin, and give you a raise anyways.

Republicans also do lose elections too dude. Grow up.

It's amazing, isn't it? Just basic cognitive function is needed to understand that sometimes you don't have all of the ballots counted at 8 pm.

McAuliffe crapped his own bed with his parents shouldn't have a say in their child's education. And then Trumped it by doubling down on the statement that he should have sensed the statement was trouble.

But the democrats trend is down as a whole. There are many facets to why Joe is dropping which is leading the way for the trend. Some see him as old and senile. Some is the way he handled Afghanistan. But I think most are worried about the economy. He too is doing his own Trump impersonation of spewing false statements in hope that people don't listen closely. Wages have risen faster than inflation? Really Joe? I guess you don't grocery shop or fill up your tank or look for appliances or just live life like a normal person. Shortages? You're all over that too? 24/7 you say? Yet the yards are dead quiet at night, containers have seen a 40% increase in thefts because literally there is no one in the yard at night. And on top of all that you want to spend what? on what? So your left base is upset if they don't get their additional trillion with buried perks. How about teaching kids to balance a checkbook in HS? Balance a home budget? Maybe then they can see what's coming after they leave their primary home.

Even if you raise the taxes on the rich and corps, I think most Americans smell something is right with the numbers that big. Yes raise taxes but just fix the roads and bridges. You'll gain the independent and middle of the road voters with your spending restraint, strengthening the finance and the economy. Shortages + printing more money = more inflation which in the end hurts us all but it especially hurts the poorer. It puts the American dream further out of reach for the lower classes.

Or we can all say all is fine...let's stay on this course...

CNN's Van Jones had a good statement. Agree or disagree the man speaks from his heart and he see this as a 5 alarm fire. Biden won by a 10 point margin. To lose to a out of the blue republican is a huge warning shot fired over the democrats bow. Pretend all is well and you'll see a red wave next year that will undo everything "accomplished" in 2021. On top of that the takeover will lock Joe up to where nothing gets done. Then Biden gets fired in 2024 and it's back to a republican trifecta - still leading to nothing.

We've seen this movie before. If you think it's going to end differently this time, you're not paying attention.

Call us ignorant all you want but we recognize shenanigans when we see them. There is nothing wrong with a little audit when shiet don’t add up. You’re in sales and business, you should know that. Auditors will pick on every little thing in accounting if your company is public just to make sure nobody is going to jail.

You are not calling for an audit and accountability. You are doing the exact same thing as if I was blaming me not hitting my teams targets on a grand conspiracy to hack our Salesforce.com account. There's ZERO interest in either of your statements to think about the utter possibility that maybe Republicans just screwed up in New Jersey and got beat. There is ZERO accountability that you assign to yourselves in just about anything in life for that manner.

-Taxes - nope... shouldn't have to pay them. Roads, and bridges in my city should be world class and build themselves
-Healthcare for everyone... heck no, but you better damn well give me my Medicare when I retire
-Slavery was legal in the United States previously in our history - NOPE... can't hear that. You are attacking me as a racist for acknowledging that this happened in America
-Lost my job due to industries changing - Not my fault. I want to stay in the same industry that does not innovate and pollutes the environment and gets people sick my entire life so I never have to change my skills as a worker
-Lost an election - FRAUD... the Democrats must have hacked the machines. Lets go spray bear mace at some cops and maybe they'll change the votes for us
-Oh and attacking police.... If I AM angry I should be able to ram a flag pole down on the head of a cop because my life has just been so darn hard, and it's the FBI's fault anyways. NOT MINE. NOPE.

Republican culture has festered the most egregious nanny state known to mankind. Please learn to pull up your bootstraps once in awhile please.

I have no problem admitting when Republicans screw up, run horrible campaigns and get beat. We're talking about irregularities, shenanigans and things that don't pass the sniff test here. And that goes for both sides, if you see something is not quite right, wouldn't you want to find out what it is and maybe fix it so it will not happen again?

Even liberals are turning on you Dems now. Feel free to stay on course, next year the drubbing will be even worse.

Did Trump lose the 2020 election? After all, there have been a number of audits all showing that he lost.

I appreciate the response. I can agree that the college forgiveness loan might be progressive. Immigration is a problem. There has been no amnesty proposed for immigration though.

As far as spending, Both parties have been spending more than we take in. The Democrats have done it less than Republicans, but it isn't really fair to only blame one group for that. I do note that you lay blame at both parties.

Infrastructure isn't an progressive idea though. It is a way to generate jobs, wealth, improve the economy and actually provide more money for the govt. which would reduce the deficit spending you were upset about before.
