Here's to keeping the Golden Era window open for a few more years. Another title would so much sweeter after these past two World Series losses.

Been a heck of a run, fellas. Enjoyed talking about it here with fellow fans.

    Go 'stros!!

I don’t think the window is closed. We have work to do just like the other 29 ball clubs.

I would be so ecstatic if our off-season consisted of resigning Carlos and JV and extending one or a few of our younger core players.

I’m not thrilled about the news of Dusty coming back for 1-2 years unless Espada is okay with waiting another year or so.

A friend of mine suggested that we look into trading Bregman…I disagree. Idk, he was clearly injured this year, and the idea of moving him for several top 100 prospects is just not appealing to me. I’d rather run it back with him unless his medicals are really damned for the future.

Still a lot to be proud of obviously. Would’ve loved another ring but that doesn’t change my appreciation or support for the Stros. Still us against the world.

And for all the flak Click has received, he pieced together one helluva bullpen for October…

We MUST sign at least one frontline number 1 starter.

The frontline options on the market are not appealing, especially at ftheir expected price tags…hence why I’d prefer to just give JV another run at it. If we keep Carlos, we can stomach the loss of depth/players elsewhere to acquire a high impact starter if JV falters.

Obviously we probably need to add another starter

    1) LMJ
    2) Garcia
    3) Valdez
    4) Odorizzi
    5) Urquidy

You can certainly win with those 5, but they won't all stay healthy.

    Bullpen:

    1) Pressly
    2) Baez
    3) Maton
    4) Stanek
    5) James
    6) Javier
    7) Abreu

Obviously be nice to have somebody that has proven to be a sub 3.00 ERA pitcher beyond Pressly.

The lineup is fine even if Correa is gone. Would be nice to upgrade at catcher, but Maldanado/Castro are locked in.

This is going to be a really interesting offseason, provided it isn't completely disrupted by labor disputes.

Scherzer and Kershaw are unlikely to be willing to sign with the Astros. The only other pitchers on that list who would project to be a meaningful upgrade over the guys Houston already has would be: Gausman, Rodon, Rodriguez, Ray, and Stroman.

Cobb, Wood, DeSclafani, Gray, Pineda, Duffy, Matz, Paxton, Verlander, and Syndergaard all have the upside to be ToR guys but carry a lot of risk.

I would think Gausman, Ray, and Rodriguez would be good matches for the Astros but it’s hard to peg prices with all the unknowns of the CBA. If Luis Castillo, Shane Bieber, or German Marquez are available via trade I think they are good fits for Houston as well.

I’d resign Graveman + Correa, look to make a trade for another starter. Realistically, we need a 1 or 2 to go with LMJ. I like Framber + Luis but both feel like more of mid-rotation than frontline.

Why? Is it because Scherzer wanted a West coast team for the trade deadline? But why not Kershaw?

Wishful thinking but 2 starting pitchers and an outfield bat would be nice

Kershaw would NEVER come here for obvious reasons.

    Predictions:
    • New CBA will seriously hurt the Dodgers and Yankees
    • Correa gets QO but is gone to Det or NYY
    • Verlander gets QO and re-signs on 2-year deal
    • McHugh returns on team friendly deal -- Buzzy doesn't want to go to Montreal
    • Brantley will be dealt for starting pitching depth and youth
    • Graveman returns
    • Greinke returns a one-year deal
    • One of our young players will have a monster winter league season

I don't think it is the same level of disdain as McHughs have for Los Angeles

Carlos Rodon or trade for Luis Castillo of the Reds

I was hoping the Astros would go after Jose Berrios

Astros can't depend on Lance McCullers Jr
to be healthy and be a #1 Starter

In short rest Lance seriously Injured his Arm.
